i knew all the ass-kissing corporate media would be on the inside, there'd be no worry that harper and his message would be ignored and so, in the spirit of fair and balanced, i stayed outside with the free-thinking democracy seeking intellectual critics.
we all know there isn't really a free lunch, many of us have been around that block, but the corporate/state aligned a-channel media tried to reclaim even the two minutes they gave us by calling our efforts a 'so-called' free lunch. not a 'free lunch,' a 'so-called' (with a bit of a sneer) free lunch. and they flashed four or five seconds from cindy l'hirondelle's talk about the years of research she's invested into her recently released report about guaranteed livable income, in their 'so-called' fair and balanced media report. i was at the picnic for a couple of hours, connecting with people i haven't seen for a while, meeting new ones, re-charging my activist batteries, remembering i'm definitely not alone in my concerns for peace, earth, and justice.
