Any edits of this synopsis that differ from the original are made merely for readability The Objective Arrange a meeting between David Emerson and a small, cross-partisan, group of his constituents. Time: either immediately, or on a mutually agreed upon fixed date and time in the immediate future. The Action Our plan was simple – either meet with Mr. Emerson immediately, or remain within the office until a firm commitment for a meeting was obtained directly from Mr. Emerson. The Players A number of electors from the Vancouver area riding of Vancouver Kingsway were contacted by De-Elect Emerson campaign organizers Manuel Pereda and Kevin Chalmers. Those present for the action represented political affiliations including the Liberal, NDP and Conservative. Most present were ordinary citizens that have never participated in the political process beyond casting a ballot. Kevin Chalmers, who chairs one of the movements that have sprung up to force the resignation of David Emerson (http://emersoncampaign.ca/) was previously an organizer working on behalf of Liberal MP and candidate David Emerson in the last two election campaigns. http://mikewatkins.net/categories/static/emerson_protest_2006_02_24.html
