Here's the first paragraph of the article, followed by the link. I'm interested in what others on this site think about this article. I am personally surprised that the Liberals and Coservatives are giving the NDP this much credit at this point. It only enhances their credibility......

I have many Conservative backing friends. They all claim Harper should 'not stoop down' to Layton. They also feel they would be just helping the NDP get 'exposure' by any debate taking place.

Its real easy to spew off about a man and his party behind his back - its quite another to say it again to his face.

I personally feel Harper and the conservatives are afraid of talking policy with the NDP. Canadians would then see the hidden neocon agenda of the conservative party - aka - the Mulroney Party. Harper has yet to divulge just who it is that is funding his run - and that fellow Canadians says it all.

I think I'll have a word with Mr. Harper. If he keeps this up, I will stop capitalizing his name out of disrespect, just as I do with harris and mulroney. King klein is also on that list, and it is growing.

These whiners should just do what they want: move to the US and become little fish in a big pond.

Oh, right. Maybe they don't want to be little fish, that's why they stay here and whine us to death.

Harper's just living up to his name again. Between him, Bush and Cellucci.... I can't even go there tonight.

"Home care as a Canada killer? That's a bit hard for me to say."

hahahahaha Harper thinks the NDP would be just as bad the the Bloc Quebecois? I can't believe he said that with a straight face.

Harper was saying today that he thinks the NDP and Liberals will split the Leftist vote... I'm thinking with Martin it will be a conservative/liberal split and the NDP just might do well! Or even the green party in some places.

The Toronto Star reported about a private Liberal meeting where they expressed concern that they will actually loose to the NDP in Toronto.

Joe Clark had mentioned that many BC ridings will return again to the NDP fold.

So things are looking good for the NDP.

Buya. Lots of people in B.C. and Ontario, means lots of ridings to win, means a possible minority government, at least. Unless nationalists are in power, I favour a minority, always. Instability means more discussion, action, resposiveness from government.

-If ONLY the NDP could grab some seats in Quebec, where many more people are. Hopefully they have a shot at seats in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and an outside chance at east-coast seats, but if the NDP could grab a seat or two everywhere, and more in some places, we'd be rolling. As much as Alberta could be a lost-cause for them, at least Alberta hates the Liberals....maybe Jack could tap into that.

Jack, if you do NOTHING else, get us a mixed-proportional system.
