David Frum Hosting The Current

That a Canadian hanger-on of the egregious American neo-con policy makers who have given us the tragedy in Iraq should now be hosting one of our current events programs, and providing a gateway for some of America's worst dribble is not just a shame, it's an outrage!! Sincerely, Diana Kly

I'm surprised he agreed to work with those old socialist hacks at the CBC, this is a good development because it shows that perhaps the CBC is getting off their high horse and will start delivering a range of opinion. If we're stuck paying for the CBC we might as well have a channel that actually informs people instead of serving up the pablum they usually serve.

I sent this in before the show was even done:

    "Good morning:

I listen to The Current every day. I've been following politics and current events for most of my life. I am incredibly disappointed that you would allow an apologist for the Bush administration like David Frum to host what is usually a balanced radio show. Frum, no matter what guest he was talking to, tried to spin things to favour Bush. He's little more than a party hack for a party that does not even exist in Canada.

I could see putting Frum on a panel where there is somebody present to counter his obvious biases, but putting him in any sort of control does a great disservice to your guests and your listeners. Frum belongs firmly locked in a back room at Project for a New American Century. He has no place hosting a radio show on the CBC."

I suggest anybody that heard Frum's little freak show send in something similar. If Frum wants so badly to be a Republican he should move to the US and stay there.

Is Frum a guest host, or have the brains of the Current's producers been taken over by the Planet Zontar?

Freakin' David Frum... Again! The guy makes my teeth grit. I missed that Current (lovely sleeping in), but honestly, why is the CBC scrapping the bottom of the barrel? And shouldn't Davie be busy trying to place Georgie Porridgie back in the White House? This isn't the CBC trying to be less 'biased' (which I never felt they were), but the CBC allowing a right-wing ass to host one the most popular current events shows on the air. Think of the children, CBC! They should not be exposed to such disgusting programs. We have to protect the future, eh?

to the good people of the world that listen to total coverage AM/FM radio:

    You deserve what you get

for this one minute inspiration, i'd like to thank the poster at Vive who put that quote up, but of course he was saying it in a different context, like, if you don't vote, you get the leader you deserve, or some such thing...

    :!-) life is good
