1.9 Mln. USD For Slush Fund In Afghanistan Burned As Plane On Fire

Posted on Tuesday, October 24 at 10:09 by 4Canada
The British Ministry of Defence on Friday night confirmed that a "sizeable amount of cash" was being transported by the plane. It was said that the RAF aircraft had flown in a "black operation" from Kabul to the crude dirt landing strip outside the town of Lashkar Gar in Helmand province. Since the pilot managed to touch down, there were no casualties. Stephen Evans, the British ambassador to Afghanistan, and special forces on board escaped the burning plane in seconds, the paper said. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2006-10/23/content_5238961.htm

"The money (was)... reportedly intended to "buy off" local warlords against the Taliban."

Buy off the warlords, as in, buying drugs to take back to the west. Been happening for years.

What? They did not rush back in to save the money?

    What a joke.

The fact that they are using large sums of money for anything beyond aid and recontruction, proves to me that there is nothing honourable about this war, nor is there anything about this war to be supportive of.
