Michael Moore Weighs In On CBC Strike

Posted on Saturday, September 17 at 14:10 by 4Canada
"CBC has locked out its union workers, an action that is abhorrent to all who believe in the rights of people to collectively bargain. Why the great and honourable CBC is behaving like an American corporation is beyond me." Bowling for Columbine, an examination of America's obsession with guns and violence, is scheduled to air Sunday night on CBC. Mr. Moore won an Oscar for best documentary for the film in 2003. Mr. Moore used his acceptance speech at the Oscar ceremony as an opportunity to launch a broadside against U.S. President George W. Bush and his participation in the war in Iraq, which had been launched only a few days earlier. A spokesperson for the CBC could not immediately be reached for comment. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20050916.wmoore0916/BNStory/Entertainment/

I am watching the movie right now. Moore seems to contradict his belief that ALL people have rights. A union locked out is part of a democratic process!

Yeah right! A union locked out is corporate greed and a union with no balls.

More than likely you are watching it because of contractual obligations that were signed before he was aware of the strike at CBC. If you would do a little thinking before submitting comments you might be able to come up with these things on your own without having to be intellectually babied and unjustly criticizing people.
