In Baghdad, every encounter we had was a bit like going through customs.

"American?" was the inevitable first question.

"No, no, Canadian," our over-eager reply.

Sometimes our word wasn't good enough and our interrogators wanted proof.

    So Harper has made his position clear, he wants us to be as cozy as possibe with the U.S., the Bloc wants their own country,and it isn't Canadian, the Liberals want to please the U.S. and sit down and talk BMD, missiles on our soil for target practice, but hey we are NOT going to weaponize space, like it will matter after we are blown to bits;

    this leaves us with the NDP who have said,No we aren't going to have missiles on our soil, and we aren't going along with Bush policy, we'll set our own thanks anyway...so if you love Canada, there is only one choice this election from what I hear and that is NDP.

    Too bad we couldn't hear from the Greens. Although the Bloc sounds good, their platform turns my stomach and are not representative of Canada.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />

    Yes and too bad we couldn't hear from CAP as well, because even though I will support the NDP this time, CAP really does have the best complete policy platform I've ever seen! I don't have a CAP rep and I wasn't able to run myself, but I feel passionately about their vision!

    Yeah, me too, Whelan. I think I`m going to save a dollar a day, give or take, for the next election. The CAP has the best platform, and has HUGE potential!! Everybody I show their pamphlets to like what they read.
