He is urging muslim youths to NOT become extremists..
It doesn't even specify how well they know each other or whether Heft only met Ahmed on the street.
"Heft's allegation that he obtained the video from Ahmed fits with a synopsis of the prosecution's case obtained by CBC News. The synopsis also alleges that Ahmed handed out copies of a video glorifying jihad."
It sounds more like Heft is helping CBC news and the prosecution. I think we really need to read the whole article before doing the jaded "rolling our eyes" routine.
