Billing Under Review

Posted on Tuesday, January 31 at 09:57 by 4Canada
Another 21 contract issues were resolved in the first eight months of last year, with the federal government recouping $2.9 million. The overpayment disputes are with a who's who of Canadian firms, including Air Canada, Boeing Canada Technology, Bristol Aerospace Ltd., IBM Canada Ltd., Lockheed Martin Canada and Spar Aerospace Ltd., although there is no evidence these companies have done anything wrong. Heavily censored documents outlining the alleged problems were obtained under the Access to Information Act from the Public Works Department, the clearing house for virtually all federal contracts. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1138575009838&call_pageid=968332188774&col=968350116467 [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on February 1, 2006]

It will be interesting to see how many more of these mistakes were over looked by the liberal party bureaucrats. No frigging wonder they are finding a fool to run as the liberal leader, you have to be nuts, who ever does will have to wear what ever is yet to be uncovered.

We don't need Gomery now that the bums are out. That was an exercise by Martin to have himself declared clean while Chretien toils in court to rescue his sad legacy.

Now the OAG can be free to plow through all the dirty secrets and incompetence. Next up, the $2b+ gun registry audit, stalled because of the election, will be relased. It has only just begun. And if the accountability act passes, OAG authority will extend to these currently untouchable crown corps and agencies.
