Alberta Liberals Say Propaganda To Sell Deregulation

Hugh MacDonald, who released a leaked document asking for ad proposals, says it shows the Klein government knows Albertans are upset about deregulation.

The outline says the government wants to assure people that it has not "abandoned the consumer" and will protect them from high prices. It also wants to "create public awareness/confidence in the government's ongoing consumer protection role," and will evaluate the campaign through polling and monitoring media coverage.

"It's a propaganda campaign to try and instill confidence in energy deregulation, but anyone who opens a utility bill, whether it's for electricity or natural gas, at the end of the month knows that deregulation has not worked," MacDonald said.

The PC government has a lot of money to throw into propaganda, they just don\'t have it for education, hospitals, seniors, homeless people etc or know how to run electric and gas corporations, which is why they deregulated. There is nothing nicer than watching your electric bill double and then see your tax dollars go towards telling you how could it should feel to get taken, every way and Sunday! They also have plenty of money to throw at feedlot operators, that are polluting our air, water and soil for millions of dollars in profit every year. But couldn\'t find enough money to properly inspect the beef industry in the first place! We\'re not talking about the farmer here, these are huge factories, which besides producing beef, produce 2.2 tons of manure per cow per year, not to mention the water they drink, the methane gas they produce! Of course Klein wouldn\'t know about that side of the industry, cause he was the Environment Minister before he became king! I just can\'t figure out who voted for him?

Sometimes, I can`t help but think, that fixed elections are not only restricted to the United States!
