The Ipsos-Reid national survey found that 9 in 10 Canadians agree that "as Canada's economic ties with the United States increase, it's becoming more important to strengthen Canadian culture and identity".

    This is not enough. We should not be integrating economically with the USA. We should have more CANADIAN ownership of our resources, industries, and services. And we should be diversifying our trade with other countries and regions of the world. If we make ourselves self-sufficient again, only then will it be easier for Canadians to be good friends with the USA!

    CBC employees conduct a 'survey' that says we should spend more money on the CBC - what a surprise. Sorry, but Canada is multi-cultural now, all that stuff that happened before multi-culturalism is irrelevant to Canadians today.

    Anon it wasn't CBC who conducted the survey. It was Ipsos-Reid. Ipsos-Reid is an independent company that does survey's. They do survey's regarding anything and for any company or organization. They even conduct some of their own research which if you sign up you can have them all emailed to you.
