International Trade Minister David Emerson and Agriculture Minister Chuck Strahl issued a statement yesterday expressing disappointment at what Washington has done and calling on the Americans to reverse course.
"This rule should be withdrawn," the ministers said.
Beginning yesterday, in a move it announced May 30, the U.S. government will start inspecting commercial trucks and loaded railway cars entering the United States from Canada for agricultural threats.
