Liberal MPs FEAR Auditor's Report!!!

Posted on Monday, February 09 at 22:11 by whelan costen
Quebec MP Nick Discepola said Sheila Fraser's long-awaited report on the federal sponsorship and advertising scandal could have an immeasurable impact, and the mood among MPs is one of "great apprehension."

"The anticipation is that it will be a very scathing report attacking the credibility that it took us 10 years to build.

Up until this point, we've always been perceived by the Canadian public as very sound prudent administrators. And if all of a sudden this amount (of misspent money) comes out, it doesn't matter if it's $50 million or $100 million . . . It will hurt us.

Eventually, we're going to really, really suffer the consequences at the polls."

<i>could erase a decade's worth of credibility on fiscal issues</i><p> *snort* Bwaaaaahahahahahahahaahaaaaaaa!<p> Credibility? Since when? They must have fallen for their own party propaganda.<p> Balanced budgets are easy when oil is so expensive. Trim government by 30%, cut remaining salaries under $100k by 20% (and over $100k by 30%), and remove expense accounts and food budgets for everyone at the public trough, put it all into eliminating child poverty (something promised in 1993 to happen by 2000) then you're headed in the right direction.<p> Fiscal credibility my left n-t. I've seen more fiscally responsible people with shopping disorders.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />"The greatest price of not participating in politics is being governed by your inferiors." I was watching question period today. It frustrates me how Paul Martin can easily avoid the question when asked if he knew about what was going on. Even when it was a Yes or No question, he never answered it with a yes or no. The opposition let him get away with that during question preriod. I would have kept on asking him, yes or no.

Like one poster over at Canada.com said "Sheeple, wake up!". It's getting nasty over there! Lots of calls for civil disobedience, tax revolt. I love it!<p> Let's hear some shooting in the streets! Automatic gunfire!<p> Yea. Right. Nothing will happen. Canadians have become too complacent, with 5 minute attention spans.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />"The greatest price of not participating in politics is being governed by your inferiors." Doc, Martin finally said \"I didn\'t know anything about it\" outside when asked by a gaggle of reporters.

    The finance minister that was...

I don\'t know why Chretien doesn\'t go straight to jail for these disgusting displays of massaging our tax dollars - $100 million for 2 jets that Fraser said weren\'t needed, the Quebec fiasco, what else were they doing ?

    Remember Radwanski ?

Imagine, our TOP COPS are involved !!

Who the heck (?) is minding the store ????

Is there some sort of \"PRIVILEGE\" that keeps these guys out of jail ?

I want some of that !!

I think I\'ll have an ulcer now. Angry ?? Yep.

Time for another email. It\'ll do a lot of good, but every little rant helps !

Too bad our military isn\'t a little stronger, I could go for a coup right about now.

    Coming from Mackay, Mr. Ethics.

Actually I was wrong, it wasn\'t McKay,(sorry for the inaccuracy don\'t want to lead anyone astray) I\'m not sure who it was that made that statement, McKay was ranting about Martin being in some kind of trance...as in \'how could he not know\'? It\'s still funny...think maybe they should look into all contracts that the Liberals have given out...including how the Lockheed Martin deal went down...

Rawdwanski was a fall guy. The kind of stuff he was accused of is all too common in government. Rawdwanski did more to expose government's intentions of making Canada a police state to the public than anyone else would have. But he interfered with their plans for a national ID card, and selling of tax data to corporations and RCMP monitored cameras in public areas - he was a sore spot for those wanting more control over us in the name of 'anti-terrorism', so he has to go.<p> Just like Galliano went before the report was even released, Alphonso is the fall guy. Give the public a scape goat. And Martin signed the cheques. He says he has no knowledge, but the CFO signs the cheques. If he didn't know, that is worse. No due dilligence, he was handing out blank cheques. I don't care if he didn't know - he should have known. I don't care if it was Cretiens fault, Mr Martin is the leader now, and he's got to take one for the team.<p> The only deterrent I can think of for all those responsible is jail time. No, "you're out of the party" or caucus with your golden parachute courtesy of the taxpayers you screwed. Not a 6 month stay in club Fed. Federal pound-me-in-the-a@@ prison.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />"The greatest price of not participating in politics is being governed by your inferiors." first let me apologize for the grammar. I have been fully disabled by a fatal disease called ALS and must use voice recognition software to type.
I see the government which was at the root ov Air Canada's collapse now ignoring the problem by saying they can not get involved in private industry. Some one should have told former cabinet minister David Collonette before he got involved with Jerry Schwarz. When I lived, one of my functions with Air Canada was accident investigation. We looked for "the root cause". The root cause for this disaster was not 9-11 or SARS or even the power failure. It was the illegal involvement of a Liberal cabinet minister with a private business man. I say illegal as when reading Hansard it seems to say that when a cabinet minister becomes involved with a private business man that person must be declared a lobbyist. Please take the time to review this matter as there are 58,000 current and retired voters that have been effected. I will not just lay down and die without a fight. I have a large circle of friends and family nation wide and my one web site has had over 33,000 hits. This will cost Canadians more than the advertising scandal.
