ID Cards: A Story I Thought I'd Never Write.

I've never thought I'd ever have to cover the same trials in my native Holland. Compassionate, understanding people and groups were always fighting apartheid and the compulsory passes for the blacks in South Africa. Thirty years ago I saw in Johannesburg what will happen in Holland next week: the inhumane spectacle of hundreds of people who have been dragged into court because they - in their own country - could not immediately show an ID card and so will be punished. And remember: we were promised a European Union without borders, where we all would be able to travel freely, not even needing a passport. None of it was true: it was all a pack of lies. I don't like the idea that the chip embedded on these biometric ID cards can identify you as Jewish or Muslin. That sounds quite sinister.

Now that is a good point, are we headed back to the good old days of Hitler? I understand now why the Jews were so upset over being tattooed when they were placed into confinement by the Nazi's.

Now we have the same bloody thing taking place by another sinister lot, they want to brand us with a computer chip so they can track us and seperate us, they will know our ever move , when you in the bathroom and in what part of the house your in and if you having sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky.

We are become chattle of the elite and this is just another one of those controlling tactics made by the upper crust scaps in society, thanks to the political party system.

My god Paul Martin was in Nova Scotia buying the people with their own taxes, so he can get re-elected because he and the party are not done screwing the life out of us yet.... go figure!! Whom is the FOOL ?

North Americans better get used to what's going on in Holland, cause its coming soon to a country near you. Adopted as an amendment to a military spending bill in May, the U.S. REAL ID Act of 2005 sets May 11, 2008, as the deadline for compliance for exactly the same biometric ID card. After that date, federal agencies will not accept a driver’s license or other state photo ID unless the state’s issuing policies have been certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. <<a href="http://news.mywebpal.com/partners/680/public/news663157.html>">http://news.mywebpal.com/partners/680/public/news663157.html></a>;<br />

And Canada is fully on board thanks to our deep-integration loving, soveriegnty selling government and the apathy of their sheeplike citizens. The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, established March 23, 2005 in Waco, Texas will be our contribution to the furthering of the fascist police state that is being created right in front of our noses. According to the Prime Minister's Office, "We are launching the next generation of our common security strategy to further secure North America and ensure the streamlined movement of legitimate travelers and cargo across our shared borders. To this end, Canada, the United States, and Mexico will work together to ensure the highest continent-wide security standards and streamlined risk-based border processes. This initiative will identify, develop, and deploy new technologies to advance our shared security goals and promote the legitimate flow of people and goods across our borders. Biometric ID cards are a fundamental part of this plan. <<a href="http://pm.gc.ca/eng/news.asp?id=443>">http://pm.gc.ca/eng/news.asp?id=443></a>;<br />

What they will have in place next is a Castration Board of Governors, with the chosen gods picking and choosing who will be allowed to breed. Those who they feel are not pure enough, then this self appointed judge will be calling out off with their balls, instead of their heads. So will we accept that too, my god when are we going to say enough already....?

Give the people SUV's,Walmart, designer t-shirts,reality TV,and the government can and will do what ever it wants.People are dumb.Only a small percentage,1-3% actually think, the rest simply follow.
I can guarante that the people of Canada will never wake up.
If 3% actually vote against anything that is not enough to change. Most Canadians have a bigger interest in the sex life of Britney Spears then they do of Canadian politics/problems.

ID cards in Europe have been the norm forever. In most countries people had to register with the police every time they moved and/or went on holidays and stayed in one location for more than 48 hours. I grew up near the lake Balaton in Hungary in the '30s and we used to have summer guests, who had to report to the cops and even people who were tenting by the lakeshore had to have registrations every time they packed up and rode their bicycles somewhere else. The same procedure was repeated when I was living in Austria between 1945 and 48, when we were on our way to England and stayed in a camp in Germany for a week in 1948 and as an "ex-enemy alien", in England before I became a citizen. I just sent my accumulated police report certificates to my old school's museum, but still have the scans.

For all practical purposes, the first time we were not compelled to register with the police and had no need for ID cards in our lives was when we came to Canada in 1955.

So, the people of Europe will have no problem adjusting and it looks as the people of North America will happily follow the lead. Also, the religion of a person was always asked and recorded in Europe, long before the persecution of the Jews started. Ed Deak, Big Lake. BC.

But are we not talking about something much different here? Imagine having a computer chip planted on your body or in a card, that some sinister element within a political party, could at their will have you picked up and tossed behind bars , just because you spoke out against them.. while you were visiting in another country... this is dangerous.
Political parties have already proven themselves to be nothing more than mafia ... they steel, lie and if they (the Liberal Party ) can toss Maher Arar behind bars... and almost get away with it ... you can bet they do it to you.

I agree and we, cattle ranchers, are in the process of testing the system to be used on humans. I thought about this since my earlier posting.

Eartags and branding have been used on cattle for years. Although we never branded our cattle, we always used marked eartags and in the past few years, since the BSE madness, we had to use scan coded eartags so that each animal could be traced back to its birthplace.

Now, this year, we had to start using so called "radio tags", small buttons with some kind of a chip installed that can be read from a distance with a scanner. They cost about $3. each and are applied with the usual eartag applicator, with a heavy fine for any animals sold without them.

I would say, the idea behind these new identity cards is that when people carry them, they can be traced everywhere they go with similar, long distance surveillance equipment.
E.g. such equipment could be installed into aircraft, or fixed video cameras, and it could pinpoint the location of anybody anywhere, whether they're at home, at work, walking, or driving.

Similar idea was floated in NZ by the previous conservative government for vehicle licence plates that could be traced and charged taxes, based on the distances they travelled.
It was shot down by the present "lefties".

Curious coincidence that it is the freedom loving communists and freedom loving conservatives who support such control ideas, like the Patriot Act by Bush, beating their chests that they have nothing to hide. Brothers under the skin?

    Ed Deak, Big Lake, BC.

Ed, I agree people like these Con-Servatives who are brothers under the skin, are a little nervous about some of the things they been pulling off lately and the want to be sure that honest people cannot sneek up on them.

I hear so many voices lately who just want to take these asshole politicans here in Canada by the neck when they come knocking at their door looking for votes. All I have promised myself is that I will not let them on my property and I will go to the poles, if there is not an independent candidate on the ticket.. I shall place an X through the whole dam thing.

But surely these things won't fly in Canada. Seriously. In Ontario, they tried to bring in photo radar but it was tossed by the courts for being an "invasion of privacy." Well, the Charter still trumps any wayward security bill and it seems to me that this kind of thing wouldn't last a day before the whithering glare of our law.

More likely, Martin will come out for it, say he opposed, campaign against the conservatives position (whatever it may be), and gradually let all clarity die before reaching parliament. Call it a hunch.

we have to stop this. Do you plan to abide by this law (id cards, biotechnology etc). What can we do to stop this?

I don't think I would just trust that this will not fly here Gorian. There are so many ways to make this happen even without our having an option. Especially if they are being used to replace drivers licenses or credit cards or medical cards. I would suggest that the majority of people would just do the required thing, say "cool" as they gaze at the holligram and that would be that.<br />

Well they shoved this security certificate at us and look what it did for Maher Arar's life. He had a jod as an engineer, a life and was considered an up standing citizen. Then with the stroke of a pen and some help of our ROYAL Canadian Mounted Police, found himself in a small cell in Syria being beaten. Do not ever trust these bastards that much, or sure as hell you lose a family member to some of their foolishness.

In the end the only way to aviod it may require a total withdrawl from society. If you cant buy or sell, with out an implanted micro-chip (which is where this is all heading)
and all currencty is electronic, what else can you do, if you choose not to partake in such a system?
