America's Contempt for the World
Bushwhacked in the Caribbean
By RANDALL ROBINSON
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts.

On Feb. 29 the legally elected government of Haiti was driven from power by armed force. Its president, after being taken against his will to the Central African Republic, was given refuge in Jamaica. The Bush administration's response has been to demand that the democratic countries of the Caribbean (1) drop their call for an investigation into the ouster of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, (2) push the Aristide family out of Jamaica and the region, and (3) abandon their policy of admitting only democratically elected governments into the councils of Caricom (a multilateral organization established by the English-speaking Caribbean countries 31 years ago to promote regional cooperation).

Aristide could go back to Haiti by plane, boat or even by car from the DR - why has he not done that? Because the same people who were going to kill the B-tard before, still want to kill him! Many people allege that he was forcibly removed from Haiti - not so - the Americans told him he could stay if he wanted to but that he wasn't going to get any protection from them, that's all there was to it. With problems in Iraq, Afghanistan, France and elsewhere in the world - how can anyone seriously believe that the Americans wanted to start something in the Caribbean? Does anyone seriously believe that problems in the Caribbean will help Bush get re-elected? of course not.

Sad thing is, most Americans are too busy watching garbage like survivor or their corporate laced news to actually know all the dynamics of American imperialism. But of course, Americans that do see, are labelled 'Anti-American.' This is called building and maintaining an empire, and the US government and their corporate buddies will be damned if they let some socialist dampen their globalization (rape) project!

Anonymous, you are so full of propaganda that it makes me want to puke. You misrepresent everything you write about.
    1) They took President Aristede by force in the middle of the night and held him incommunicado.
    2) The US armed and backed the thugs and murderers that invaded Haiti.
    3) The fascist elements within the US administration don't mind starting trouble anywhere, anytime. This is evident by their repeated attempts to destabilize the government of Venezuela and the recent attempt to overthrow by force with the US backed Columbian thugs which were caught in Venezuela. Also the threatening rhetoric and actions aimed at Iran, Syria and North Korea shows your propaganda for what it is.

The uprising in Haiti was a local affair and it sure looked like other countries, including the U.S., were reluctant to get involved.

Yea, thats why they were there at the same time their hired thugs were, yea we are stupid enough to buy that. Yea, they discussed the overthrow with Canada and France a month before it happened and were ready to send in troops as soon as the thugs got to town but we don't see any connection. Yea we'll buy your drivel. Yea our liberal and conservative politicians were all reading from the same playbook but that happens all the time, duhhh!

And Cuba. This could be one of the reasons Bush is paranoid, there's just too many places and too many enemies to keep track of!!!!!@@@@@

    Oh Anon,

"Does anyone seriously believe that problems in the Caribbean will help Bush get re-elected?"

Problems like an investigation Bush is trying to keep from taking place? No, an unwanted investigation would likely be BAD for re-election. An investigation is what will be needed however for answers as to WHY Canada and the US and France were in there in the first place. I think Aristide knows something that these G3ers (that's grade 3ers), don't like him knowing and they are threatening him with their thugish behaviour. I don't like that the rest of the Caribbean countries don't like it either. They suspect something too. If you know something, what is it?

Randall Robinson is a paid political advisor to Aristide

Randall Robinson and the Black Caucus have financial interests in Haiti.

While I agree that Bush is an a***h(&e, Aristide is a bigger one. The guy is rich! He's got drug money. Visit his so-called orphanage in Haiti one time. IT's disgusting, he lets those kids live in filth so he can get donations. Grow up! And Randall Robinson and the Black Caucus are on the take. Do your research, man!
