The Liberals have total contempt for us, so much so they thought it wasacceptable to go one year WITHOUT a budget for a multi-billion dollarorganization. Would any company survive with it's creditors like this? Do you think this sort of stupidity does not cost us at the money markets? And Liberals dare to suggest that they are doing a good job? A Liberal claiming he is doing a great job is like Microsoft telling youthere are no flaws in Windows. Pure fluff. The rest of us have to work harder and longer just to make ends meet in this competitive workplace that is accelerating. And yet these politicians think that it is okay and we won't notice the fact that theyhave done little to measure their own performance, they obscure mistakesthat would get the rest of us fired, and they expect us to vote for them because they are the kinder gentler party. Show these contemptuous idiots that we are not going to take it any longer. We work too hard and have too little time to worry about doing their job for them as well.

To Anon Dave the author, you don't have to sell the Liberal mistakes to us. No Liberals as they are today. No Cons/Alliance as they were as they are or as they will be. The Liberal ads about Harper do not have to be sold to me. I remember every freakish thing Harper said about Canada. He holds us in contempt. Why would any of us want a leader that hates us AND wants to give our country away? I think the Liberals just want to waste our tax money and give the country away.

I am totally disappointed in the NDP because they had a huge opportunity. However, their control by the large labour organizations means that they are afraid to criticize the worst aspects of FTA and NAFTA because of their fear of the loss of unionized jobs.
I am working with the Progressive Canadian Party (and hopefully in the future with CAP) to create a political party that focuses on the general population rather than on special interests.
We need a political party willing to focus on creating opportunities for all rather than protecting special interests and undermining the opportunities of the majority in the process.
They need people that are willing to become a candidate, whether you actually run a campaign or not. They need numbers, and the only way they'll get them is if people step up to the plate.
This would also give them much more visibility to run a better campaign come next election.
Think it over.

So, while you may want to rant and rave about Harper and his so-called "Republicans North", you may just want to hold your nose and vote Conservative.
Unless you don't intend to vote, of course, or aren't interested in restoring democracy in Canada after the Liberals have trashed it.
Some of us even put our own money and time on the line to fight for restoration of democracy in Canada. http://www.thiscanada.com.
So hold your nose, or stand aside. Either way, do something other than whine inaccuracies.

I don't see where it says that NDP won't stand against NAFTA or free trade agreements, I suspect they will but don't want to make that their major issue because corporations will kill them now before they get the chance. But from everything I read Jack Layton is for Canadian Soveriegnty and so is the NDP, and NAFTA is definetly against it!

If I stand for my country today...will my country be here to stand for me tomorrow?
I'm sorry, but as I understand it, the Harper tax break would amount to
$0.02/L. I really don't think that's going to help me out much. For that
matter, I think putting that money into healthcare would probably be a
good idea.
It pains me to think of the Conservatives as being an option for restoring
"democracy." They want an even less centralized government and more
tax breaks for the wealthy. If money is all that talks, then yes, they
support democracy.
However, my Canada has a government that is less centralized than
Washington, that spends less on social services than the OECD average,
and actually funds corporate interests which run unprofitable businesses
and destroy our environment.
Shouldn't it be a question of what kind of social programs we want? (Cost is of course one criterion)
The OECD average includes the Scandinavian countries with a relatively high level of social programs and GB which axed a lot.
Nine homeless and penniless people are in a room. Bill Gates joins them and ON AVERAGE they are all billionaires.
What's so meaningful about averages?
The issues are as plain as the nose on your face. Corruption, waste, moral bankruptcy, and plain theft of the public purse. The only reason is to keep themselvees in power. If the public could just get over this conservative imagined thing, vote them in and then vote them out the next election. THis keeps everything honest and it breaks that string of Liberal corruption cycle. Then throw them out again.
Everybody worries about the Americans. If we keep this up we will turn to them and plead for them to take us over.
Think about it. Just think.
