In our previous pre-election paper, "Can They Pay For What They Say?" we analyzed the ability of the three national political parties to pay for their campaign promises. We concluded that, if they implemented their platform promises over the next five years, the Conservative Party would run a deficit of $11.4 Billion, while both the Liberal and New Democratic Party would post surpluses of $24.2 and $14.6 billion, respectively.
