    Interesting article Diogenes.

It says: "The second embarrassing question is: Having bombed poor Lebanon for several weeks with impunity, without resistance, and with the best equipment on the planet, why haven't IDF forces found and destroyed the battlefield?"

My guess is Israel does not want to "find" it. I have been reading a few articles stating that Israel has been preparing an attack on Lebanon for a year now.

I think Hezbollah is serving Israel the way "Al Queda and Ben Laden" are serving the US: merely providing excuses and justifications for their colonial expansionist wars.

Their primary motive for the attack on Lebanon was rather shaky to start with and based on false allegations. Those Israeli soldiers were not "kidnapped" in Israel but captured in Lebanon. Besides, by reducing Lebanon to rubbles, it is probable that those two will also get killed in the process rendering their attempt at justification rather illogical. I think Israel should be reminded of the ancient Justice of Solomon.

This attack on Lebanon seems awfully soon after the pullout of Syrian troops that the U.S. demanded with it's media bluster. I guess they didn't want to take on Syria as well right now. Well the old strategy of divide and conquer has always worked. I think the arab states see this but still want peace. I think perhaps the arabs could learn from this.(Changing the races of course)

Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out

Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
    Then they came for me
and there was no one left
    to speak out for me.
