"The message from this review is straightforward. Any major national political party will ensure the Canadian environment is protected -- except Stephen Harper and the Conservatives," said John Bennett, Policy Advisor to the Sierra Club of Canada on Atmosphere and Energy. "Mr. Harper represents a clear and present danger to global action to avoid catastrophic levels on climate change."

More evidence that the liberals and conservatives are not exactly the same

Their similarities need only be enumerated as: "I don't trust them". After that, the similarities or differences are moot.<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />

<p>I wonder if this is the same Sierra Club who sent me a form to donate money to the Sierra Legal Defence Fund to protect our water. Some lawyer who is fighting corporations to protect or water. <p>Have any of you recieved anything like this in the mail? They have the option to give a monthly donation or a one time donation. I'm sending them 25$ for now. <p>Anyone else interested? I heard also that the Green Party only got an A as opposed to the NDP A+. I was wondering if anyone knows where the Green Party has been getting their funding for campaigning. I heard that Odlum Brown gives an equal donation to both the Liberals and the Greens. It's interesting that they are basically running an NDP platform headed by an ex Tory.

As far as I know, based on the new funding formula for the elections, the parties receive $1.75 per vote.

The Greens are hoping to collect more than one million votes, and took out a loan based on that to be able to place a candidate in every riding.

Anyone else know for sure ?

I find it really interesting that the NDP would get a higher grade than the Green Party. A grading rubric and what each achieved would have really helped, in my opinion...

Once again I think of Mr. Harper's story about his young son asking him "What if Saddam wins daddy?" Little does this child know that his daddy may win PM and then do nothing to prevent the destruction of his future and the planet he'll be left with. "What if Harper's son's daddy wins?" Looks pretty bleak little fella.
