The police have a licence to kill and kill they will as it in their now instilled nature to do so.

We are snidely referred to as 'civilians' as thought we are the enemy and certainly not ‘members’ their private club where the courts whitewash the criminal behaviours exhibited by them on a regular basis.

Global news once again carried the burial proceeding of a ‘member’ and a grand eulogy was heartfelt given but the people the ‘members’ slaughter with impunity receive no such “honour”.

When a state sanctioned taker of life has his life taken fuss and falderal follow as though they were saviours of the world, they are not.

In the state sanction murder of Robert Dziekanski, Paul Pritchard and his video camera are the heroes

Like the Bush shooting, this is undeniable evidence of a police state.
Police states by definition do NOT oversee 'legal' authorities because it is a aspect of social and political control. Protecting us from crime is a chimera; it's the fear card.
Even more obvious when the country, like most western countries, have top heavy older populations that not only DON'T do much crime, but don't do much at all except listen and watch the 'fear factory' in their homes and worry about the 'young' people at the bus stop outside their prison homes.
In fact in police states you have BOTH the military and police demanding that legislators change laws to give them MORE latitude (happening right now as our corrupt politicians play partisan games) and more important, an attempt by both mil and pigs to publicly question the judiciary and demand changes to both personnel and procedures. How many times have Canadians seen cop press conference where they PUBLICLY attack the very judiciary of the country and demand that judges change their legal sentences.
The hard part of a police state is the same problem the Nazis had...you can say a lot about Germans, but they are like Canadians or the Dutch; extremely law-abiding people with a huge respect for law enforcement.
So what does a police state do if there really isn't any crime?
Well one way is to start passing 'moral' laws and civil suit legislation that is designed to purposely trap a large pool of citizens so they CAN be leveraged by a police state.
For example, that's partly why in good old Canada over the past 25 years, 2.2 million citizens in our society have been charged minor possession. When the State Corporatism NEEDS money to fight it's wars, then all of a sudden those parking tickets you owe become an act of treason. The State needs that money to protect you, comrade citizen. Share a song; got to jail.
BUT will people go to jail; jail is not very productive and is revenue loss for Corporatism. The bodies of the citizens must constantly weighted against the GDP and growth and profit.
Now let's say you have a country with a top heavy population of old people that 1) can't carry a gun in imperialist wars and 2) can't work munitions factories. So THE only thing an aged population can do is 1) free up their capital holdings for the war effort and 2) vote consistently for a society that has degenerated into a manufacture free fire zone which THEN justifies MORE repression to protect the NOW scared and vulnerable aged populations who are utterly dependent on corporatism for their very existence.
Now the best part; since drafts are a dangerous political subject, the next best solution is to up the ante on sentencing laws. So then that minor pot charged that MIGHT have simply destroyed your ability to travel, get a loan or keep you from a good job, will now be raised from fines to jail time.
BUT BUT ... the judge makes you a deal. You can enlist or you can go to a work camp.
Of course the rather thin 'useable' population that countries like Canada have, is way way less than their resource importance, so part of that war effort needed to fight a large regional or global war will have to be augmented by the 'Dubai' solution. You simply truck 'captured' slaves gleaned from refugee camps displaced from our wars and and send them to western gulags or let them join the "Great Patriot War'.
Total win-win for totalitarian globalism at war's end; the existing population dies off either through old age/bad health due to rationing/ the glorious battlefield (so we can continue to wear poppies ;-) and the population of the this country as well as others is simply replaced.
Historically we replaced the aboriginal and I believe will are in the process of being replaced again.
One best thing about having people imported into the country is that, LIKE the aged, they are dependent on their hosts for their citizenship and their lives...so one simply changes the conditions of citizen to stratify the 'basic' rights among identifiable groups.
In the end, this country like a few others including I suspect the US will resemble not democracies, but Roman city-states -- real citizens at the top, small 'middle class' of freemen with less rights and 'slave' class with NO real rights.
Fascism is just that easy!!!
Living in Vancouver, people here got a first hand look at the cover up which was aided and abetted by the local Media. The cops said at the time he was drunk. He wasn't. The cops immediately said there was no footage. The guy who took the footage reported that no less than 4 pigs watched his tape right there in the terminal.
Imagine living a country, that invites you to be a citizen, basically locks you up for no reason, mentally tortures you for 10 straight hours with no food or water and then at the end of this Kafka-esque depravity, comes in and promptly kills you...
I would not want to visit such a country and I hope that people in Europe send a message to Canada by boycotting it's products and Olympics. Since our thoroughly corrupt politicians are so leveraged by the police, then if Canadians want change, they need to help from the outside...
Forget Coroner's Inquests -- charge the Nazis with manslaguther, get them under OATH, so when they lie and smirk their way through testimony like that killer cop Koestler did in Houston BC -- at least they can be jailed for perjury.
It's that simple... in tribute to [link:http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20070524/bush_inquest_070524|Ian Ian Bush]

"When a state sanctioned taker of life has his life taken fuss and falderal follow as though they were saviours of the world, they are not."

I have absolutely no problem with all the fuss when a police officer is killed - we should all join in with our sympathies, our praise for the police, and give these people as much support as is possible - after all, they are placing their own lives on the line while working for the public good. Right?

There is a serious problem however, when the police stop working for the public good and instead work for someone else's interests including their own self-serving needs. There is also a serious problem when unwarranted police assaults and in some cases killings appear to be on the rise AND when the offending police officers go unpunished for their unwarranted actions and/or crimes.

In this case, I have not seen published the names of the police officers responsible for the airport assault and killing - I'd like to know who these people are as I would any other dangerous criminal. There's been no mention if these people have had their weapons taken away and suspended from their jobs pending a REAL investigation. For all I know they are still on the job, armed to the teeth, and just as dangerous as before. It is also clearly impossible for the RCMP to investigate itself, yet that is exactly what is taking place. If I were in charge of the RCMP, I would DEMAND that there be an independent investigation, and I would refuse to have the RCMP investigate itself, the bad PR that results from such dishonorable actions should be obvious to anyone!

The RCMP is by itself its worse enemy. It has done everything imaginable to discredit itself as a servant of the public good and I wonder if it was ever intended to be such a thing. They spy on the general public in secrecy without justification, they kill people in cold blood and get away with it, they cover up their crimes and are allowed to investigate themselves. It's a shame, and I cannot imagine why anyone would join up with the RCMP these days knowing that the actions of the RCMP have tainted the entire (publicly announced) concept of being a police officer.

NP, RG. That's the only way to do it (aside from a code upgrade).

I try to break idiotic laws whenever possible. I think that's what they are there for.

Like the local bylaw that stores must have hitching posts out front.

Just saw the video on TV. The actions of the RCMP have been totally inexcusable, irresponsible and stupid, deserving at least manslaughter charges against the officers.

Of course, their spokesman was singing about "the whole story has to come out in the investigation" etc. which is total crap. It is all on tape and what more evidence is needed ?

The guy was walking around that so called "world class, international airport" for some 10 hours, without drink, food, or anybody capable to speak Polish to him ? The security people just stood around, without any attempts to contact him, or offer him something to drink , or eat.

How on Earth is this possible, when aircrafts are flying in and out from all parts of the world ? Of course, it is now a "privatized, competitive business", with goodness knows who the owners are and it would cut into their profits to hire some people speaking major languages. Wasn't it possible to get on the loudspeakers and ask for somebody who speaks Polish among thousands of people present? Bunches of irresponsible, stupid assholes from management down to the employees and the cops.

Nobody can replace him to his mother, but the least she should expect the biggest compensation for this idiotic crime against common sense and humanity.

I watched the video and cried, horrified by how they treated this poor man. They were told he didn't speak English but I saw no attempt to locate anyone that could understand him or any attempt to understand that this reasonably was contributing to his distress. I also saw no compassion on the part of RCMP officers to understand why he was upset or to attempt to reassure him that it was okay and that they would help him. The many officers approached him in an intimidating, smug manner and immediately attacked him when he had not shown any aggression towards them or any evidence that he was a threat to any of them let alone all the many of them that surrounded him and were armed and they knew he didn't understand anything they were saying to him. It looked exactly like a lynching to me.

He did appear upset which reasonably most likely was because, as his mother reported, he had been detained in immigration for a very excessive amount of time and didn't know where his mother was or what was going on, but we will never know because the RCMP killed him before he had a chance to tell someone that understood his language why he was distressed. What I saw was murder.

Put yourself in his position being detained in a foreign airport unable to speak the language and not knowing where your family that promised to meet you were. I don't know anyone that would not have been upset, (normal human emotion), and exhausted after what he had been through. I saw nothing done that in any way justifies the brutal attack on this poor man and as a mother of 2 sons my heart breaks for his mother.

Why didn't anyone in immigration help him and get him a translator? It's an international airport for pete sake!

If they had appropriately located a translator or allowed him mother to assist him who was desperately trying to get to him then he wouldn't have gotten to the point where he was distressed.

What I saw horrified me as the mother of 2 sons and a citizen of this country because it made me even more afraid of the RCMP than I already am because of how they have seriously and completely unjustly and corruptly harassed my children and I. Is this what this extremely abusive and criminal behavior on the part of the RCMP is about...is it meant to put Canadian and foreign citizens in our place and keep us quiet and obedient to their control in fear for those they serve, which is not Canadians?

The fact that the RCMP lied about him having been drinking and other important facts and withheld the tape says it all...the RCMP know the truth and that these officers murdered this poor man and the fact that the news is reporting that they are saying not to judge the RCMP officers involved based on the video as this is just a small peice of evidence is outrageous...it is the evidence and proves exactly what did and did not happen.

I have no doubt in my mind that if there were no witnesses and no video they would have seriously lied even more about the facts to pin the blame on this innocent man and cover for their crime.

What threat is an unarmed man lying on the floor writhing in pain, surrounded by armed officers? And can someone explain to me what the officer who leaned in and repeatedly appeared to hit this poor man with his club hard while he had all those officers pinning him down and had been shocked by them, and handcuffed, etc...was doing?

I would not ever call the RCMP for help and see them as more of a threat to my sons and I than the criminals they are supposed to be protecting us from.

We are told again and again by our political and corporate elites to fear muslim terrorists who could strike at any moment, when the truth is the only terrorists most Canadians will ever encounter is a policeman with a badge, nightstick, mace and taser.

And they will get away with their crimes again and again, yes these are serious human rights violations, yet no one seems to hold them accountable. In the City where I live there have been numerous police crimes and brutalities in the last decade, yet they always get off. In fact they investigate and then exonerate themselves, all without hardly a whimper of protest or questions raised by the corporate media.

I learned growing up that the police is there to 'serve and protect' the public. With a few and rare exceptions I do not believe that to be true anymore.
