Germany has to make a face even though it will be slapped by the Americans. Firstly, the Americans will never admit to any wrong doing. Secondly, the policy of the USA is that no agent of theirs will ever be tried by a foreign country. Germany can't publicize the am facts and can't ignore the crime either. Afar is facing the same situation. For the Americans to admit they erred, would also open them to liability. In the American Capitalist system, one doesn't pay the dues until absolutely no choice is left.
