America's Finite Future?

Posted on Saturday, January 15 at 23:03 by 4Canada
The evidence is overwhelming. Everywhere you look, it's IOUs passed on to future generations. Record federal debt. Record foreign debt. Record budget deficits. Record trade deficits. And this attempt to fuck the future is not limited to economics. You see the same attitude when it comes to energy policy, health care, education, Social Security and especially the environment — with the Bushies redoubling their efforts to make the world uninhabitable as fast as possible. (See their attempts to gut the Clean Air Act, gut the Clean Water Act, gut the Endangered Species Act, gut regulations limiting pollution from power plants.) full article: http://www.ariannaonline.com/columns/column.php?id=753

    Yeah, I saw that too and thought how simplistic it is to call Bush a fundamentalist. People really have to give their heads a shake before calling Bush a Christian. <br />
    <br />
    The guy is a Methodist, whose church does not necessarily hold the same stance on the Rapture, yet seems to have this strange connection to the Moonies. <br />
    <br />
    Here are a few reasons why you should not be associating "Rapture" Christians with Bush, who is a wolf in sheep's clothing intent on misleading the "flock" to their doom:<br />
    <br />
    <br />
    Bush at the cultist Bohemia Grove in the nineties - years after his 1989 "conversion"<br />
    <a href="http://vancouver.indymedia.org/news/2004/03/115115.php">http://vancouver.indymedia.org/news/2004/03/115115.php</a><br />
    <br />
    Bush has not renounced his membership in Skull & Bones. No man can serve two masters. <a href="http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0122-10.htm">http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0122-10.htm</a><br />
    <br />
    The only person Bush pardoned while governor was Satanic Serical Killer Henry Lee Lucas, while he killed and then made fun of Christian Karla Faye Tucker<br />
    <br />

    <br />
    Bush has a creepy connection to Rev. Moon, and the Washington nutcases have a strange obsession over this guy, not the Christian Jesus.<br />
    <br />
    <a href="http://www.counterpunch.org/madsen01142003.html">http://www.counterpunch.org/madsen01142003.html</a><br />
    <a href="http://www.commondreams.org/views01/0103-07.htm">http://www.commondreams.org/views01/0103-07.htm</a><br />
    <br />
    This one is a CLASSIC two-part series.<br />
    <a href="http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy.htm">http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy.htm</a><br />
    <a href="http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy2.htm">http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy2.htm</a><br />
    <br />
    These anomalies run against the claims that Bush is a fundamentalist Christian who believes he will be raptured. If anything, Bush is a wolf who is trying to generate a wave of hate towards Christians at a later date, because the Bible actually says there will be a great purge of Christians before this Rapture thing happens. I think the Jon Stewart show should do some real research and investigate the real root issues rather than taking a cursory glance and assigning some simplistic and deterministic explanation.
