Harper And Baird: Hypocrites To The 10th Degree!

Posted on Friday, June 16 at 09:31 by FurGaia
There is something very bizarre and worrisome about that publication which is the report of a roundtable on Cross-Border Regions held in Sackville, New Brunswick in March 2006. Now whereas the report from the Montreal roundtable is available on the website of the Policy Research Initiative, that of the roundtable held in Sackville, New Brunswick is nowhere to be seen! Not any more! Among other weird stuff, it features a full-page picture of right-wing think tank lobbyist extraordinaire Brian Crowley!

What is particular about Brian Crowley? Vive already contains many entries related to Brian Crowley and his "Selling-of-Canada-project-Atlantica".

The report that is nowhere to be seen relates to that project of Crowley. As citizens of this country, we are entitled to have access to publications paid for by our tax dollars and even more so when such publication contains material that have a direct impact on our future. It would be very wrong for the department of Policy Research Initiative NOT to put back that report online for all of us to see and to evaluate. In the meantime, I shall gladly email copies upon request to anyone interested. [Simply click on my name above to access my email.]

From what I saw in that report that reads like a marketing presentation, with bells and whistles, Harper is not serious at all about controlling lobbyists on the Hill. In fact, Bill C-2 is nothing more than a cloaking device for the underworld of lobbyists that continues to fester even more and whose infiltration of our government under Harper appears to be far more invasive and dangerous than under the Liberals.

    Good article.

Considering the secrecy and obvious kowtowing to corporate interests that Harper has indulged in so far, is his putting up a legistlative smoke screen to conceal the activities of his lobbying buddies actually that much of a surprise?

The man is an oportunistic Quisling, and if he EVER gets the majority government he wants we are all royally done up the coal chute.

Despicable hypocrites they are both of them! [Here I planned to add a link to a document entitled The Emergence of Cross-Border Regions, Sackville, New Brunswick, published by the Policy Research Initiative, Government of Canada, March 2006. Well, lo and behold, it has disappeared from the Internet whereas it was still there a couple of days ago!]

The link must have changed because it's still available.

The Emergence of Cross-Border Regions

Note: Link opens a PDF document.

It is a different document rearguard, I have them both, one is over 50 pages long and the other is less than 10 pages long.
