9/11 CHAIR: ATTACK WAS PREVENTABLE (!!)

Posted on Wednesday, December 17 at 23:04 by N Say
"This is a very, very important part of history and we've got to tell it right," said Thomas Kean.

"As you read the report, you're going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn't done and what should have been done," he said. "This was not something that had to happen."

Appointed by the Bush administration, Kean, a former Republican governor of New Jersey, is now pointing fingers inside the administration and laying blame.

"There are people that, if I was doing the job, would certainly not be in the position they were in at that time because they failed. They simply failed," Kean said.

To find out who failed and why, the commission has navigated a political landmine, threatening a subpoena to gain access to the president's top-secret daily briefs. Those documents may shed light on one of the most controversial assertions of the Bush administration - that there was never any thought given to the idea that terrorists might fly an airplane into a building....

There have been rumours aplenty about these issues, why the air force wasn\'t scrambled, why Bush stayed in a classroom after hearing about the first plane hitting the towers, etc.

Let\'s see the squirmy little runt try and brush this one aside.

This guy looks more dangerous every day. He has surrounded himself with warmongers, and the budget for the pentagon is 10 times the budget for education, and more than 10 times the budget for health.

$400 BILLION DOLLARS. What a war machine, to get caught with it\'s pants down on 9/11.

I think there is a lot of truth yet to come out. Get those documents, put him on the stand. He has a lot of explaining to do !!

Bill Blum worked out that the USA spends $20,000 for every year since Christ was born on military. Here\'s the last bit from the CBS thing \"Kean promises major revelations in public testimony beginning next month from top officials in the FBI, CIA, Defense Department, National Security Agency and, maybe, President Bush and former President Clinton.\" Won\'t it be interesting to see what comes out in the next couple months. I wonder if the Bush government will try to wait out the clock & then Leiberman & one other senator will try to get more time for the commission in March (I think that\'s the stingy time limit Bush allowed). Here\'s more from CBS:

After reading that article on another post, it sure sounds like too many chiefs and not enough Indians to me.

The air waves were full of contradictory statements and commands, no wonder they lost control of the situation.

Reading that article brought back the memories of watching the attack on TV, in real time, and I did not do very well that day. The emotional impact was unbelievable.

I just hope they learned from it.
