The men are suspected of having links to militant organizations, but they haven't been formally charged, and their lawyers can't see the evidence against them.
Canada's system of security certificates is controversial and the Supreme Court will hear arguments about whether they are constitutional later this spring.
But Canada's Border Services Agency, which enforces the security certificates, decided not to wait until the June hearings.

"Concentration Camp" is a pretty fitting term in this case. But lemme guess,,, you feel it should only be used to describe the camps run by Nazi's, right...

Gimme a break...

Check the definition..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concentration_camp
n 1: a penal camp where political prisoners or prisoners of war are confined (usually under harsh conditions) [syn: stockade] 2: a situation characterized by crowding and extremely harsh conditions
Per your own link (apparently wiki makes even dunderheads instant experts, huh smart guy) Amnesty International doesn't even refer to Camp X-Ray as a concentration camp, yet somehow the Canadian one is?
Puh-lease.
"Since the nature of Germany's so-called "concentration camps" became known, the term is sometimes used as propaganda, with greater or lesser justification, to imply that a camp is designed to exterminate, rather than merely to concentrate, its inmates."
For example, the cretin who added their two pathetic cents to the top of the article used it as propaganda. With, shall we say, lesser justification.
Thanks!

Bloody hell, the facility is a 6 person unit within Millhaven. Yep, it sounds absolutely terrible. A real fascist style hidden facility where mass torture can take place.
And people on the left wonder why their screaming usually elicits a roll of the eyes by the general population. Any time you try to draw a comparison between something that evokes a strong emotional response like "concentration camp", "fascist", "nazi", etc... you only trivialize the actual horror of those events.

They should have built this as an outdoor facility on Baffin Island complete with a minefield and machine gun nests to guard the prisoners. THEN you could call it a concentration camp.

Take a look at this overhead picture of Millhaven... Is that a basketball court? Oh, those poor, poor terrorists. My heart goes out to them.
