Boxing Day

Posted on Sunday, December 26 at 23:38 by sthompson
Just a note to say Merry Christmas, hope you had a great boxing day, happy new year, and happy holidays from Vive if you're celebrating this season. Of course there aren't as many updates as Vive volunteers spend time with family and friends but all of our best to you and we will keep going over the holidays. - Susan Thompson

Don't forget Festivus! It's my new favourite holiday.
---
Canadians are asking, why do americans hate us? They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to disagree with each other.

As an atheist, I take that as quite a rant. We are simply animals, get used to it. If you hear voices, get help.

You would ask us to believe in blind faith, you would have us believe in wishful thinking.

How do you propose proving faith works ?? Even the medical establishment is giving up on faith as a way to enhance a cure for disease.

The studies show it doesn't work.

It must be hard for so many to consider there is no afterlife, just eternity. Nothing, emptiness. Not a nice thought, but probably true.

Of course, I can't prove that.

Pray all you want, 9 times out of 10 it gets you nothing. The 10th is pure luck.

    Have a nice day.

Jerry Jay, stop pasting in unrelated articles. Comment deleted for off-topic, troll, copyright infringement without giving credit to the original author. Some quick googling revealed the original source; and I can *see your IP address*. You can't get away with your tricks here. Go away.

Hey I'm a 'heathen' too, but humans have a need for some kind of spiritualism, a need to believe in something. A person who holds true to their faith, without infringing on others of course, deserves respect.

I'm not against respect, and the one good thing that comes out of organized religion are support groups, so even though I do not believe, that doesn't mean religion in some form doesn't have its merits.

What's it all about anyway. I understand the most popular song title in China today is "What a Friend we Have in Jesus". It has truly been one fine Chinese Christmas--what with free trade and all that.

I love Festivus! And we're in the same family Jesse so we can make it a new family tradition.

Now call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit it hard, and we hit it fast, with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.--Rimmer, Red Dwarf

There has to be a law against people who live in the ghettos right from the get-go. The more they breed the more likely these kids get involved with older kids that are bad influences. By passing a law that allows police to search every single home in these ghettos it can hopefully prevent these gangster kids from killing people. I think by scaring the guns away from them would help these kids. These people are fully convinced that you have to be tough in order to survive in these ghettos (like 50cent) which is just an excuse for them to put fear into all of us (Torontonians). Another thing that has to be noticed is that the parents in these ghettos are also to blame because if they had respect they wouldn't be so rude to other races that are just trying to help them out with words. I'm tired of trying to talk to them because to them It’s always about racism which is not and if you say something that they don't like then they freak out, want to fight and even worse they want to put a cap in you. It's in there blood!!!!
Do you notice that hip hop clubs when they play a certain beat all the people that are ghetto on these dance floors start raising there hands in the air and giving gun gestures. These trigger happy Americans are the ones that are brainwashing these kids through multimedia.
It's human nature to try to help someone I think! MAY GOD HELP US ALL

Your the one that needs to get help because no one is asking you to change what you belive in . On the other hand you are, and how is that right? If they want to belive in religion then let them and if you want to belive in animals and atheist then go right ahead. You miss understood his article which is fine but come on dont start something that you cant win. Your religion is Atheist so stop trying convince people that have faith in something and you dont so back the fuck off before you get smack the fuck off, understand Diablo?

Hey Mr. Atheist: If we are just animals, why do we make laws to punish people for acting like animals? There are no laws for animals except 'survival of the fittest', right?
