As former Associate General Counsel to the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Green Party leader Elizabeth May has a background in telecommunications and consumer law.     There should be no long-distance charges anywhere within Canada. Communications, like public roads, is an essential public service, paid for out of general revenues.
