New ND Candidate For Alberta Riding

Posted on Friday, August 27 at 09:03 by whelan costen
The New Democrats apparently pursued me because of my articles and comments on Vive le Canada, as well as my letters to the ND federal campaign; they state I impressed the ND members. Yes, I am throwing my hat into the ring, and shall attempt with all my might to win a seat in the Alberta Provincial Legislature next provincial election, possibly this fall. The stakes are high and the fight will be gruesome, as I am wading into traditional Tory territory. That being said, democracy is a higher and more critical tradition than ‘Torism’ in my book. My website shall be up and running next week, I am told, so I’ll post the address as soon as I have it. I welcome your queries. Yours committed to Sovereignty and Democracy for all, even Albertans Catherine Whelan Costen

Good luck! .....and if you happened to win a seat, wonder how that would complicate the next federal election for you. :)

Thanks again for the encouragement. Perturbed not sure what you mean, I did not run federally previously and wasn't planning to, but wouldn't it be great to have someone in Edmonton that is also committed to Canadian Sovereignty and Alberta's role within Confederation and does not work for the corporate agenda.

Congratulations Catherine and good luck with the campaign.
It would be so great to have a person who truly cares about the people she represents in the Legislature.

I'm so sorry. I was so tired from my late night with friends yesterday that I mistakenly thought that it was Susan who was running provincially....not sure how I came to that conclusion. :)

I am sure that once my website is up there will be a link for contributions to the campaign or the party. So far the response in the area has been positive. I sense that many are really unsatisfied with current affairs.

So, you have made the committment---you'll also need a lot of prayers and a lot of cash as well; I'll help with the prayers, OK?
