Iran, Japan study expansion of mutual cooperation
Tokyo, March 6, IRNA

 
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for the Eastern Asia and Pacific Nematollah Izadi conferred on Thursday with Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka on expansion of ties between the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed Iran's peaceful nuclear program and latest report by IAEA's Chief Mohamed ElBaradei. They also studied current developments in Palestine.

Referring to Iran's deeply rooted culture and civilization, the Japanese official called for continued cooperation with Tehran and underlined that the two sides' relations would further expand through efforts of both sides' officials.

The second meeting of Iran-Japan political consultations committee at the level of directors general were held for three days in Tokyo.
