The Deployment Of US Troops Inside Canada

In fact the agreement was barely mentioned by the Canadian media.

The agreement, which raises farreaching issues of national sovereignty, was not between the two governments. It was signed by military commanding officers.

U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) released a statement confirming that the agreement had been signed between US NORTHCOM and Canada Command, namely between the military commands of each country. Canada Command was established in February 2006.

There is a lot we can do as individuals to make any US military people fully aware that they are not welcome here, any time we find them on Canadian soil.
Lets make this a big issue in the next election campaign, and give the tories a hard time over it.
Some South American countries have banned the presence of any foreign military on their soil and Equador has given the US till 2009 to close it's bases there and get the hell out of their country. Other South American countrie plan to follow thier example quickly.
