Another War Coming?

In any case, we have the 50 year old B52s over our heads every day, which suggests war preparations.

The US Congress, the US media, the American people, and the United
Nations, are looking the other way as Cheney prepares his attack on
Iran.

If only America had an independent media and an opposition party. If
there were a shred of integrity left in American political life,
perhaps a third act of naked aggression - a third war crime under the
Nuremberg standard - by the Bush Regime could be prevented.

On March 30, the Russian News & Information Agency, Novosti, cited "a
high-ranking security source: "The latest military intelligence data
point to heightened US military preparations for both an air and
ground operation against Iran."

According to Novosti, Russian Colonel General Leonid Ivashov said
"that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on
Iran

Of course there's another war coming on. And they will keep on coming on, until there's one that will serve as a "suitable" Armageddon. Not only does it fulfill the weird destiny envisaged by the ultra-right, but in the meantime, it's a money-maker.........

<b>Rectification: "Russian Intelligence Sees U.S. Military Buildup on Iran Border"</b>
    by Michel Chossudovsky
    Global Research, April 2, 2008

The internet has been quoting an article entitled "Russian Intelligence Sees U.S. Military Buildup on Iran Border" published by RIA Novosti allegedly on March 27, 2008.

The date of this article is mistaken. Information Clearing House posted it on March 29, 2008. The original date of publication by Ria Novosti is March 27, 2007.

In the last few days, this text posted on The Information Clearing House has been considered by several authors and analysts of the Middle East as a bona fide current news item. The article has been quoted profusely in a number of articles, several of which point to an imminent military build-up directed against Iran.

What the authors of these articles have failed to do is to crosscheck the source and date of this Ria Novosti article. Moreover, they have not verified the history of the US-NATO Israeli build-up including the deployment of naval forces in the Persian Gulf and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The article quotes Col-General Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Russian Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, who stated in March 2007 that "the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future."

The article also states that: "the USS John C. Stennis, with a crew of 3,200 and around 80 fixed-wing aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet and Superhornet fighter-bombers, eight support ships and four nuclear submarines are heading for the Gulf, where a similar group led by the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has been deployed since December 2006."

The fact of the matter is that in late March 2008, the USS John C. Stennis had returned to Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington State, arriving on the morning of March 28, 2008, "after five days of sea trials following six months in dry dock." ( http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/356 ... nis29.html )

The Ria Novosti article was not published on March 27, 2008 but a year earlier on March 27, 2007.

It was posted on the Global Research website on March 28, 2007. It was one among several articles which we published on the US-NATO military build-up in the Persian Gulf and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The US-NATO-Israeli threat to conduct a war directed against Iran is noneless real.

An understanding of this threat cannot be based on an isolated and outdated news item. It requires a historical review and understanding of a complex process.

The military planning as well as the buildup directed against Iran has taken place over a period of more than four years.

In recent developments, which are of significance in assessing US sponsored war plans directed Iran, Israel has been hosting a NATO naval exercise, involving six NATO frigates, which arrived in Haifa on March 31st for a joint drill with Israeli Navy missile boats.

"During the visit, a demonstration of naval capabilities took place, as well as an exchange of information on a range of topics," the Israeli military said in a statement. Israel has been shoring up ties recently with NATO as part of preparations for any future showdown with Iran."

Yep when the Berlin Wall fell all the sleepers jumped on the environmental bandwagon but like a dog going by a fire hydrant the leg still lifts.

Like the katyushas blasting northern Isreal, the Iranian missile hitting Isreal will be part of a US/Isreali plot. Yeah right......

Is there any neutral, objective evidence of any planned attacks against Israel, or of any Iranian nuclear bomb making plans, as there were the "solid facts" justifying the invasion of Iraq?

Why does Israel deny any nuclear capacity, or permit independent search and examination of its facilities and why is the US backing them up on this denial?

We're not talking about "friends", or "enemies", but sordid facts and madmen on both sides, that could destroy the Earth , or billions of human beings for an endless future to come, as it is destroying millions already in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq with the effects of the illegal and criminal use of DU ammunition ?

Yeah....well, it was either the environmental "bandwagon", or the global warming one, or the cancer scam, etc. ad nauseum. Pick one, pick any one..............

Just loo at the jerks of history, like Alexander et al, not to mention today's so called "business leaders" and "VIPs" who have been titled and labeled "Great"

Like Conrad Black said after he was sentenced to jail, most of them could be on the same charges, he was.

In the language of history and economics, those who steal the most from the most, or enslave and destroy the most, are always the ones called "great".

Unless humanity comes to grips with the fact that it needs no "great" business and war leaders, it will go down into oblivion.

To hell with them all and those who praise, or even submit to them !

The B52s have now been joined by smaller planes, there were a couple of them the other day, flying North at very high altitude, on parallel courses, about 1 minute apart.

Obviously, looking for "terrorists" in Northern BC.

Interesting that you denounce the B52's out and about while the Tupolev Bears are out stalking the worlds oceans.

The world's oceans are not mainland Canada and BC.

I'm not picking on the B52s and the fools who are flying them, but on all the military and war preparations, regardless who and where.

All these military planes, generals and hardware on both and either side, anywhere on Earth, are welcome to go to hell.

It is about time for humanity to grow up and figure out that war is the stupidest and most criminal act that solves no problems, but creates more.

You will have to forgive those who cannot or will not generalize, Ed! Stuck in the ruts that they are, they cannot see "the big picture" (besides, they are too busy piloting those planes overhead and over the oceans....)
