A New U.S. Chief, A New Harper Mandate - And A New Big Idea

Posted on Friday, October 24 at 08:47 by NAUWATCH

This could be Stephen Harper's Big Thing.

Canada's Prime Minister approaches his second government with a record of competent administration - and let's not undersell the value of that, given the events of the past eight years in Washington - but with no great achievement for which he will be remembered. But such an achievement is available to him.

Mr. Harper could, and should, propose a revolutionary new agreement that would transform both Canada and the U.S., truly launching the continent into the 21st century.

The current Canada-U.S. relationship could be described as quietly troubled. There are no crises facing the two countries - no softwood or Iraq - but the 49th parallel steadily thickens, thanks to passport requirements, fluctuating dollars, and suspicion within Homeland Security that Canada lets in too many people without knowing exactly who they are.

John Ibbitson is a Vichy Canadian, the kind of "rabble" that canada does not need with this sell out.

I`m with you, Cdn Nationalist! This Canadian nationalist also wants to fight for TOTAL Canadian sovereignty. And I know a few of my fellow Canadians who only a few short years ago, were rather complacent and apathetic, who are now literally saying to the NAU, SPP, and the Amero, F--- that!

Slimy propaganda to sell off the rest of Canada's remaining sovereignty.
Democracy can only survive in societies free to make their own decisions. The EU is rapidly becoming a corporate dictatorship, with Western countries colonizing the East.

As far NAFTA is concerned, where are those great benefits ? All it has done was to deindustrialize this country, remove all potentials for decision makings and sell off our resources.'

Only idiots and crooks will call the sale and export of resources as "earnings", or GDP.

Money is an imaginary concept. Resources are the only real capital and their sale is the sale of capital, which is utter stupidity and not an income in any rational business accounting system.

I think it's time to decentralize money. That way, there would have to be something the various currencies need to have in common, in order to be able to conduct trade within the nation. And I wouldn't rule out barter, as for many people, that is something they can relate to. As for the government not being able to tax barter? Tough!

"Slimy propaganda" is exactly what the dirtbags in the mainstream specialize in. These fu**ers would sell out their mothers without hesitation.
