Liberal Contenders Prepare For Leadership Race

Posted on Friday, October 24 at 08:49 by NAUWATCH

Despite a crushing defeat during last week's federal election, Liberal Leader Stephane Dion emerged from Thursday's caucus meeting vowing his "very united" party will continue to fight the Conservatives.

"We will fight - it's very clear we are the alternative to the Conservatives," said Dion.

However, with only 76 seats compared to the Conservatives' 143, the party is in no position to bring down the government in Parliament.

Personally, I think that a 'weak' leader like Dion was purposely put in place in the Liberal Party in the hopes that when people cast their votes, they would look at Dion, plug their noses and say, " Well, I guess I gotta vote for the cons." And although that`s what kinda happened, atleast Harper only ended up with a minority. Harper and the cons totally embrace the concept of the North American Union! It`s a sad state of affairs, my fellow Canadians, but we must fight as hard as we can to thwart the destruction of our wonderful country!!

Considering the tactics used against Dion and the Liberals in the last election and considering the evidence establishing Harper and his gang are obviously seriously corrupt and willing to do anything to retain power it is shocking to me that the Liberals would even consider anyone with even the remotest ties to Harper to be the leader of the Liberal party, as the story below suggests, that's just plain stupid and seriously suspicious and questionable...
