BC's Green Party was poo - poo'd for suggesting a link between industrial livestock operations and the onset of diseases to the human population.

While the details of their suggestion may or may not be accurate to the letter, I think the jist of their theory has some merit -- if for no other reason than the sheer bulk of the antibiotics needed to ward off pestilence. The excess necesarily percolates into the soil and groundwater, to be ingested by we humans, producing weakened immune systems and greater susceptibility to whatever may be "making the rounds" at any given time.

The world's meat markets are now controlled by a multinational corporate mafia, destroying the ecology and humanity, while raking in obscene profits.

Of course, this is now called "individualism", right ?
