Considering the onslaught of news stories over this past year and in the immediate past, there is no reason for anyone to rejoice in what Canada represents today.
State Policemen killing innocent immigrants with their American made portable electrocution devices and then lie their asses off to an “inquiry” that should be a murder trial … while a bureaucrat in the Harper government, one Helen Roberts, a lawyer for the Department of "Justice" cries crocodile tears when it is revealed that she was responsible for withholding salient evidence that indicates these bastard “policemen” exercised malice aforethought when they decided to kill Robert Djikanski. And, of course, the lawyers play the semantics game, ad infinitum, until the truth is denied.
Little by little, checks and balances that we citizens of Canada could point to as assurances of our rights are systematically being eroded by those who have claimed the power of “government” in this country.
Every Canadian would do well to put themselves a in Hitler’s Germany mindset, just before the war, when Jews were doing their best to get the hell out as things worsened.
But, today, as in those times, there is no where to go.
My country is becoming more and more unrecognizable as each day passes.
And not for the better as we descend deeper into our own hell with a madman at the controls.
It should give us all pause to wonder just who, or what, has taken us over and wants to push us backwards into a future of serfdom and servitude.
And what of our current crop of politicians ? Self centered and self serving street thugs, for the most part.
Evidence John Baird, a missing link that personifies that Man apparently did evolve from the apes … a real piece of shit who, rather than resort to the phoney niceties associated with most governments, simply told the city of Toronto to FUCK OFF when he was asked to act in his official capacity as Minister of Assholes. An honorable gentleman? In a pig’s ass.
Did Herr Harper chastise this piece of shit? No he didn’t, because, as we understand it, he isn’t much better himself and the fucked up performances of the rest of his mob is the considered standard.
But, then, what can you expect from a “leader” who is doing his best to “out-Stalin” Josef Stalin, the Soviet epitome of secrecy and treachery?
Surely, Iggy the First would make a better leader? Think again. Simply another power freakish dilettante who is working hard on behalf of his principals to garner a majority so their side can take taxes and reward Liberal friends, once again.
Every Canadian should ask themselves this question … What have any of these political parties or the party representatives done for YOU lately?
Do we really need any of them? Especially, when one considers that governments are really run by bureaucrats.
The dummies you get to elect are there to act as an interface between YOU and those bureaucrats. For that, they are compensated with big salaries and expense accounts while they are there. If they can sucker people for two terms or more, they get enormous pensions that enlarge exponentially. Then they either go into the Senate and get more of your money or into a university , where they indoctrinate students as "political science" professors ... thereby perpetuating the system that exists for the elite.
When is the last time an elected politician or party leader was responsive to the needs of Canadians? Do I, as a Canadian, feel that I am being well served by governments at all levels and, am I getting my money’s worth for all the taxes that are taken from me?
Can I control the direction this country is taking?
You will be hard pressed to come up with positive answers because there are none, if you are thinking rationally and objectively.
There is little to celebrate, being a victim of Agent Orange, to which I owe thanks to the Liberal Party of Canada for approving the testing in 1966 and 1967. My friends in the PPCLI also want to thank the Liberal Party of Canada for approving the testing of Mustard Gas on them in 1968 at Suffield Alberta. As far as I am concerned the Liberal Party of Canada should be disbanded and charged with crimes against humanity right here in Canada.

So, again, I do not dispute that the problems exist, but I also believe that some balance of understanding is necessary if we wish to hold on to the good things that we do have.

While there is much grounds for concern in the Canadian homeland right now, with the US Empire Loyalists in control, the foxes in charge of the hen house, and most regrettably, too many of our citizens somnambulating, or as Fait has pointed out, greater concerned about cross border shopping issues, I, like Arc above here, continue on still, existing in a state of eternal hope.

I should mention that I also know people who've been through the WCB programs and had sucess stories to tell. Friend of mine broke his back on the job, received lots of support financially and in retraining for a less physical line of work, and recoverd to work again, so either you are doing something wrong or you need to admit to yourself that retraining and a new career are in order. Obviously you can type and sit at a computer so maybe the trades aren't for you anymore. Waiting for the WCB to decide for you won't fix your problem.
Would you do the same if you lived in Iran? I ask because we are not getting much better ...look at the way the RCMP treat the citizens in BC who dare question the 2010 Winter Games...they are intimidated by the RCMP. Not a hell of a lot to be proud about I would say .
