What Happened?

What happened?

For over 200 years our ancestors worked and struggled to make Canada one of the bright spots on the world map - peaceful, democratic, progressive, prosperous, providing an ever-improving life for all of its people, a country consistently rated among the best in the world with the brightest of futures. And then something happened during the 1970s - although some things certainly continued progressing - technology, for instance, never stopped looking for and finding new and better ways of doing things - other things stopped progressing and started regressing. Instead of general living conditions for everyone getting better as the years went by, things started going backwards. Poorer jobs with poorer wages and less security for the average family instead of better jobs with more money and security. Regressing social safety nets, our national health care program getting attacked instead of strengthened. Less safety and honesty and civility throughout our land, less democracy, less openness and accountability from our politicians, less honesty and intelligence and more propaganda and superficiality from our media, a people more and more becoming petty and mean and angry and bitter and grasping rather than happy and content and generous and enjoying the fruits of a life well-lived. From wherever ancestors go, ours must be wondering what happened ...

What happened you asked? Simple, I reply. Canadians became stupid.

The teaching of the neoclassical theory in our universities and uncontrolled capitalism happened.

Not only in Canada, but all over the world. Look at the EU's powers.

Wealth can not be created, only taken. And the lords are taking it alright.

Canadians became complacent and brainwashed. And like Napoleon said," People will fight for their interests, but not their freedom." I guess we`ll have to really be pushed up against the wall in order for the mass rebellion, eh? All the political arenas, be it federal, provincial, or municipal- they have all been bought and paid for by the banker-corporate fascists. For now, freedom and democracy are dead. But since the people have the numbers, I still believe that this thing can be turned around. People should start by questioning all actions of the powers that be- even if it doesn`t directly affect you right at that moment. For instance, you`d think that someone, like- members of the Canadian women`s ( or men`s, for that matter!) hockey team, would boycott the olympics to support their ski jumping sisters. In fact, we should all show our displeasure with the IOC, the Canadian government, and the supreme court of Canada. Why? Simply because the olympics are held in Canada, and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms apply HERE! Like NAFTA, WTO, and the new TILMA`s, the IOC being allowed to override our charter is dangerous to all of us!!

Ed's summation has been born out by the observations made by Ronald Wright's "A Short History of Progress":

And Dave Ruston, you are entirely correct in saying that Canada's laws apply to the 2010 fiasco. But our PM has seen fit to run away in his cowardly arrogance.

How about the simple reluctance to acknowledge that the 'enemies of our freedom' have names. They, by their actions betrayed those of us who care about what ails us. Campbell's from Nova Scotia and BC, Mckenna and Lord from New Brunswick, anyone from Alberta, divide and conquer, Charest from Quebec. Up the ladder too Mulroney, Martin, Harper and Ignatieff should he get the chance. Each acted out deep integration or are doing it now or would do it if given the chance.
We don't need no freakin body scanners for Canadians and Canadians aren't terrorists. Each puddin head that says it's for our security has given their freedom up, for a belligerent power called the US/NWO as proclaimed at COP 15. Brown based on science (Climate-Gate) from IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report want a world tax regime (grab) to help prop up their broken and spent regimes. The foul villians are failure in management of their nations and are going to project that failure on all of us. Just as Obama has done with the security scanner4s ordered months ago and sitting in the wing waiting for their false flag attack to be sprung. Witnesses waiting to get on the plane said he was delivered to the gate a by a finely tailored Indian looking man after he was rejected the first time. He overhead the man saying he was from Nigeria and that although the bomber didn't have a passport it was common where they came from. A witness, Kurt Haskell says that and more. That a Indian man on the air plane was taping the whole incident. He says that even tho the man was badly burned he looked as in a trance, expressionless. You will find those interviews with the witness Kurt Haskell and his wife (both lawyers)on CNN.

    Sudan not Nigeria (a lie)

Why? Democracy, prosperity and freedom are not in the interest of our corporatist masters - these cut down on their ability to steal and limits their psychopathic ability to dominate us.
