Do Canucks believe the necessity of all this security BS to the same degree that the "Excited States" does? Or does this article show what blue collar grunts think of the BS from above?

Without the unquestioning help of the rank-and-file security, police, and military, just how far will this so-called "integration" go?

The excuse for the security perimeter was to enable easy access to Canadian goods across the border. Now, despite these plans, the US is still talking about building a fence etc along it's northern border, sending the message that it will only get harder to cross their border, despite any common perimeter, eliminating the only excuse Harper has for a common security perimeter.
So what remaining justification for further harassment of Canadians can Harper come up with, now that the US is pulling the rug out from under his only excuse so far?
    Ask your MP.

Perhaps it will cut down on the number of smuggled guns that are a major source of weapons for criminals in Canada!

Maybe the fence is a US response to Tony Clement diverting money away from a fund to ease border congestion:

The government diverted the money from a fund meant to relieve congestion at border crossings

The US thinking might be: Well, if you don't take it seriously, then we sure as hell don't take it seriously!

    I doubt it:

Police departments across the country have had 428 guns stolen or go missing in recent years, leading the National Firearms Association to criticize police for upholding a double standard over storage of dangerous weapons. The NFA retrieved the data on stolen and missing police guns through an access-to-information request, which showed the RCMP had lost 32 guns, other police forces had lost 316 guns, and other armed, non-police agencies (not including the military) lost another 80.

Of course they control the importation of dope. After all, it's a major source of payoff money for the the whole legal system, and they have to make sure it continues to flow, while remaining illegal........

I guess that is why Preparation H is called "Harper Goes to Washington Lipstick."
