Canada: Military Intelligence Unit Spies On Native Groups

The Canadian military is keeping a watch on aboriginal groups through an intelligence unit that is meant to protect the Forces and the Department of National Defence from espionage, terrorists and saboteurs.

The Canadian Forces’ National Counter-Intelligence Unit assembled at least eight reports on the activities of native organizations between January, 2010, and July, 2011, according to records released under access to information law.

When told of the documents, one aboriginal leader said the thought of the military keeping tabs on natives was “chilling.”

The Department of National Defence denies it obtained the intelligence itself, and says the information, which cites confidential sources with apparent inside knowledge of native groups, came from other government agencies.

Referred to as Counter-Intelligence Information Reports, the documents alert the military to events such as native plans for a protest blockade of Highway 401, and the possibility of a backlash among aboriginal groups over Ontario’s introduction of the harmonized sales tax.

Only a "logical" progression that the Harper government would regard FN people as "fifth columnists", considering how he is about to desecrate their land with leak-prone bitumen pipelines.......

Private mega corporation with substantial relationship with Harper's government just established "Defense and Intelligence Unit" in Canada and are hiring Canadian military and Canadian Department of National Defense staff to staff it...

The sand in suspension, grinding way at the pipes, from the refinery to Texas will do more damage, and cause more oil spills than any saboteurs ever could.

The only income of significance in this country is petroleum. One certainly doesn't see the value of the Canuck Buck rise and fall on raw log exports, or manufacturing, etc. So Harper knows that he must "protect" dirty oil at all costs.

    As for corrosion:

Ummm, you know, they remove the sand before upgrading the tar to oil . . right?

With oil as thick as tar sands, it's impossible to get it all, as a employee of the tar sands recently told me.

Ummm, you know, they remove the sand before upgrading the tar to oil . . right? Ummmm.....the stuff they are pumping through the Keystone pipeline is not quite "oil" yet. It's called "bitumen":

...If you're not worried about a private mega corporation with a substantial relationship with Harper's government just establishing a "Defense, Public Safety and Intelligence Unit" in Canada and hiring Canadian military and Canadian Department of National Defense staff to staff it...how about all this plus this mega corporation has a major relationship with the U.S. ARMY, U.S. MARINE CORPS, U.S. NAVY AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley,_Inc.

So, what does any of that have to do with:

    1) Military
    2) Intelligence
    3) Spies
    4) Native Groups

    ?

You need better propaganda. Bitumen comes out of the ground. It is mistakenly called 'oil sand' or 'tar sand'. It is upgraded onsite and shipped as crude oil.

In response to Dr Caleb, though it's rather obvious...To quote the article posted above, "The Canadian military is keeping a watch on aboriginal groups through an intelligence unit". The evidence I posted above proves CGI, a private corporation in partnership with Harper and his government, with substantial ties to the U.S. government and military, does the spying for Harper and his govenment and just set up a "Defence and Intelligence Unit" in Canada that they are hiring Canadian military and DND employees to staff, supporting CGI is expanding it's surveillance of Canadians.
