What we have going on here are "security certificates" for Canadian citizens. The government has only two options: either let the accused go, or fully disclose their "secret" evidence to the defense. To do anything else, will mean that the government has decided by decree that not only do non-citizens no longer have the right to a fair trial, but neither do Canadian citizens.

Secret trials are a tactic that only oppressive regimes employ to further their goals of oppression. None of us should recognize as legitimate a supposedly "free and open" government that behaves as a tyranny.

One more thing to pay very close attention to: <br><br> "Government lawyers have argued that 513 documents in the case can't be fully disclosed to the defence <strong>because doing so would threaten national security and agreements with other countries.</strong>" <br><br> Did I get that right? There are "agreements with other countries" that will deny Canadians the right to a fair trial? <br><br> This issue is what Vive le Canada is all about - protecting Canadian sovereignty! What are these "agreements with other countries" that supposedly will deny Canadians their constitutional right to a fair and speedy trial? <br><br> This bogus trial demonstrates conclusively that the freedom of ordinary Canadians is at stake, and that Canada is now being bound up by various treaties that violate even our most fundamental and basic rights!
