Immigration Scam Case

Woon Wong's lawyer says his client decided to plead guilty Monday because he wasn't interested in a court process that could last five years. Wong pleaded guilty to a range of charges including obstruction of justice, fraud against the government and conspiracy. He's one of 11 people arrested in connection with what the RCMP alleges was an organized crime ring. The Mounties say members fixed decisions at the Immigration and Refugee Board. The RCMP alleges refugee applicants paid bribes of up to $15,000 in exchange for favourable rulings. http://www.mytelus.com/news/article.do?pageID=cbc/montreal_home&articleID=1686809

Prison for a long time, that's where anyone involved in this case should be going. Scrap the IRB too, patronage appointees, completely unqualified for any real job, are the people deciding who your neighbours will be and so far they have allowed war criminals, drug traffickers, rapists, terrorists and other undesirables into Canada, that's not a very good track record. Canada is not solving the world's problems by accepting high numbers of refugees, it's a PR scheme run by and for gov't, not in the interest of Canadians, there are better ways to deal with the world's problems than our gov't standard pork-barrel politics.

I am becoming increasingly suspicious of who is behind all of this corruption, it seems that everyday another department is involved in some scheme to fill a few people's pockets, and not matter how they do it, we the people end up getting shortchanged! The only way change can come is to elect officials who are not themselves corrupt or corruptible and hire public servants of the same quality, like Sheila Fraser, she seemed to be after truth, and not care about who was involved, cleaning up the mess was her top priority and that is admirable. I think there is always an opportunity for corruption and policies should be put in place to prevent people from temptation. Safeguards so to speak, double checks, and finally an attitude within society, that we will not accept lies, deception or corruption at any level.

If you kiss the hand, of Judy Sgro!
    A place-to-stand and a place-to-grow,
    Judy, Judy, Judy Sgro!"
