STORM THE WHITEHOUSE

Posted on Thursday, March 02 at 08:20 by 4Canada
If we were being bombed and our journalists were being murdered here in the U.S. by a foreign country's military, we would hope that the people of that country would stop what they are doing and go to their president's office and demand that it was stopped. If we were the ones burying thousands and thousands of our family members and watching the destruction of the homes, schools, churches and offices that we had worked for decades to build, we would hope that someone, somewhere would care enough to do something for us. We must stop the criminals in our government NOW. There is no meeting with Congress that is going to change what they are doing. We must put the power of the people into action and stay there until they leave! Inviting everyone to the White House for a protest rally to show that we do not accept the criminal government, illegal wars and the permanent occupation planned for Iraq and Afghanistan. For Nat Turner, For Martin and Coretta, For all the Torture and Assassination in Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti and many others - We will not allow the Slave Holders that Still Prevail in this Country to Rule us any longer. Imprisonment and torture based on race, religion, resources or region is no different than the slavery we sought to abolish years ago. The Administration is Criminal and if they will not step down, we must storm in, show them how many of us do not accept a criminal government. How can we stand by and watch them kill our brothers, sisters, journalists and friends for their dollars? http://www.unitedforpeace.org/calendar.php?calid=15790

How did this go anyway? Did you take the Whitehouse? Sorry for the sarcasm. This is exactly what is needed. Even here in canada. I judged by the lack of comments, not many people have the stomach for sedition.

I am starting to organise a silent protest in front of my MP's office after work to see if people will follow. I think 1 hour a day to start should be good enough. I am curious to see if people don't care about our future and the future of our children. I am still wondering what exactly toput on my sign. Any suggestions?

    RayB,

That is such a good idea. Keep us posted here on how it progresses if you don't mind.

    Thanks, 4Canada

1 hr a day? After work! Cmon, lets get serious, the only protest that will be seen or even heard is one that defies evrey aspect of our government. I realize we all must work to pay our way, but, the only way governments will listen is when THIER bottom line is threatened. It will take a total shut down of large sectors of the economy, for days. Yes it will get brutal and ugly economically speaking, but, I believe that if enough people, union and non-union alike, with the backing of unions(ha,ha!) stage a mass walkout in protest of all the things government is not hearing and doing wrong,THEN they may listen.
I see endless reams of written works, letters to the editors, forums, literaly everywhere people can safely sound off, filled with all the crap gov does, yet, nobody takes the bull by the horns and says screw you.
All the protests and letter writing is obviously being ignored. It is time to get serious!

    Crankster,

Have you ever tried sleeping in a room with a mosquito?

We will not have the kind of response you are talking about, (which I agree with you needs doing), until a critical mass is reached. Until then "every" cause has an effect.

I am the butterfly that could trigger a big hurricane...

I will not be doing this to be heard by the politiciens or the media. Most likely if a journalist comes to see me I will tell him to go away if he is the type of journalist that is controlled by the government (most likely!). What I want to do is see if people would join me. I want to see if people are willing to spend one hour out to at least think about where we are heading. I want people to get involved with their lives.

It seems that all the white house understands is violence. Everything else is considered a focus group. Violence ,however, is terrorism.
