There are probably a lot of educated people you haven't heard of. In order to be aware of such people you first have to be educated yourself. This you plainly aren't with your silly comment about "Dutch socialists." Educated people, not MacArthyite illterates, know that Holland is a mildly social democratic country and not socialist.

LONDON — In March 2002, the Bush administration had just begun to publicly raise the possibility of confronting Iraq. But behind the scenes, officials already were deeply engaged in seeking ways to justify an invasion, newly revealed British memos indicate.<br />

Foreshadowing developments in the year before the war started, British officials emphasized the importance of U.N. diplomacy, which they said might force Saddam Hussein into a misstep. They also suggested that confronting the Iraqi leader be cast as an effort to prevent him from using weapons of mass destruction or giving them to terrorists<br />

But there are usually two sides to all these stories, and I would certainly like to hear the other side and know a great deal more about it before jumping to any conclusions. Anybody with more facts should bring them forward in the interest of all writers world-wide. Freedom to write is just too valuable to mess with for political purposes.
But, as I said before, something about this one doesn't seem to ring true. I'm not blindly anti-American, so I don't accept every bad thing said about them without some supporting evidence (the truth can often be bad enough) anymore than I lap up their right-wing propaganda without doing a reality check.
I agree with the others who have posted on this subject. We need to know a lot more. If someone has some factual research, it would be helpful if they could share it.

Dr Les Sachs has multiple ethnic heritages from a Polish mother and Canadian father, including varied European and also some aboriginal and Jewish roots.
Dr Sachs grew up in working class neighborhoods in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He spent much of his childhood in the streets and bowling alleys of this heartland American city. As a child, Dr Sachs was quietly influenced by some deeply-felt encounters with Native American spirituality, a perspective that nurtures him to this day. Dr Sachs graduated from public high school at the age of 16, and immediately entered Harvard College on a scholarship.

Dr Sachs has spent most of his life in the quiet study and pursuit of answers to the great spiritual questions, never caring much about money or success.
The major indulgence of the young Les Sachs, was in numerous travels to the gentle societies of Canada and Europe, where he instantly felt at home as an international citizen.
In summers during his student years, the young Les Sachs worked for the US Federal Aviation Administration, the Mayor’s Office of the City of Boston, Massachusetts, and also the United States Department of Justice, where he received the Superior Performance Award.

Les Sachs got his first master's degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. As a graduate student at Harvard, Dr Sachs worked as a teaching assistant in a course on the Nazi Third Reich, and gave a lecture to Harvard students on the role of art and artists in relation to a right wing fascist government.
After Harvard, Dr Sachs went on to further studies in philosophy at City University of New York, where he earned the MA and MPhil degrees, and then completed his formal education with a fellowship at the Catholic University of Washington, D.C. There, Dr Sachs earned the antique medieval degrees of JCB, JCL, and JCD, writing his doctoral thesis on the history of church reform in 16th century Britain.
Dr Sachs is very open-minded on religion, and respects all humane and tolerant religious ideals. He believes that the best path to spiritual truth can be found in our relationships with nature and with the animals of the earth.

The Car Book, Writing and Publishing
Dr Sachs has always taken an interest in the automobile culture. In the early 1980s, Dr Sachs became interested in America's hilariously cowboy motor sales industry, and decided to do some new-style journalism on it. This was the beginning of Dr Sachs' role as an expert on American corruption.
Dr Sachs "went undercover" as a car salesman to write his best-selling book for the Penguin Group, How to Buy Your New Car for a Rock-Bottom Price. Dr Sachs' car book was a sharp debunking of the chicanery in the auto sales industry, but also contained crisp social observation and commentary, and insight into the enjoyable characters who are often found within the sales culture. Dr Sachs followed up by co-authoring a book for Simon & Schuster on used cars, Cheap Wheels.
Dr Sachs noted how the U.S. auto sales industry serves as an economic safety valve for displaced American workers, and how car salespeople see themselves as much more honest than crooked lawyers and politicians.

Dr Sachs had graduated from Harvard at age 19, earned his seventh and final degree, his doctorate, at the age of 28, but it was relatively late that he understood his vocation as a writer, author, and journalist. And it was even later still that Dr Sachs came to realize he had talents as a novelist.
This realization came in the 1990s as the American publishing industry entered a period of implosion, focusing on its big famous authors to the exclusion of smaller ones, so Dr Sachs founded his own USA publishing company, the Pussycat Press, that he ran out of his humble apartment.

Before she went blind, Dr Sachs' beloved cat, Miss Kitty, used to like prowling around those bushes.
In 1998 Dr Sachs published The Virginia Ghost Murders, a mystery novel that won critical acclaim as well as popularity with readers.
One of the several themes of The Virginia Ghost Murders is the good ol' boy corruption of Virginia society and government. The heroine of this novel is a mystical female detective descended from Edgar Allan Poe, and readers have never stopped asking Dr Sachs about when there will be sequels.
Battling Corruption and Extremism in America
In the year 2000, while the junior George Bush was first running for President, Dr Sachs was victimized by a criminal scandal connected with Bush's campaigns. Dr Sachs criticized neo-Nazi threats by the weird celebrity author Patricia Cornwell, who has been a friend of the President Bush family since the early 1980s. Cornwell paid a reported half million dollars in fees and bribes to finance a criminal scheme against Dr Sachs, a criminal scheme backed by the Penguin Group publishing corporation that was selling Cornwell's books, and which joined in trying to hide the truth about the sleazy Cornwell.
To carry out the Cornwell scheme, a notoriously corrupt and bigoted Virginia federal judge, Robert Payne, who was installed in office by the first President Bush, staged a phony "show trial" court proceeding to illegally ban Dr Sachs' freedom of speech and freedom of the press. This judge hired thugs to fraudulently pose as Dr Sachs' lawyers, and the thugs used threats of illegal jailing, torture and murder to keep Dr Sachs quiet, and to prevent the judge's illegal orders from being appealed. They ordered him to pay money to the judge's friends as the price of staying alive and out of jail. These criminal acts are proven in documents now held by America's FBI, which has been politically stalling on these crimes under Bush government direction.
As these criminal acts were taking place, Dr Sachs desperately tried to get legal help to fight back, only to find that American lawyers are too "afraid" to fight crimes of court fraud that are backed by the Bush government, even though the crimes are completely proven by documents.
Dr Sachs bravely stayed in America for as long as he could, trying to combat the Bush-backed gang of criminals; but in the end it proved impossible, with the judge's thugs closing in on Dr Sachs and making it clear he faced illegal jailing and death, in revenge for not keeping quiet, and not paying money to the judge's friends. With Dr Sachs abandoned and defrauded by America's lawyers, and the Bush government ready to jail him and kill him, Dr Sachs was finally forced to escape from America for his life and his freedom. In his final employment inside the USA, Dr Sachs, who had never cared about fame or fortune, suddenly set himself to make large American-style piles of money, just so he could afford to hire lawyers and fight the Bush-Cornwell political criminals.
Dr Sachs quickly became one of the USA's best mortgage loan officers, using his talents and compassion to structure loans for many Americans who were not able to get loans elsewhere. As a top producer in his last job at the national headquarters of America's MoneyLine of Glen Allen, Virginia, Dr Sachs quickly launched himself into the highest few percent of wage earners in the entire USA, with an income stream of hundreds of thousands of yankee dollars.
His former colleagues still smile and tell the story of how Dr Sachs, working in a small cube with a telephone and a computer, managed to get paychecks that were as high as $23,000 USD in a single month, just by structuring loans for people who needed them.
Despite the money Dr Sachs assembled, and his contacting thousands of lawyers, no American lawyer ever had the courage to protect Dr Sachs against the Bush government. So, alone and abandoned, Dr Sachs had to use the money to make his escape out of America.

Personal Side
Dr Sachs is single, never had any children, and has never yet married, though he is very sociable and enjoys having coffee or tea with friends just about any time.
For relaxation, Dr Sachs' hobbies include classical music, taking walks amid nature, and also toy trains in O gauge. The great personal devotion of Dr Sachs' life was his attachment to his cat, Miss Kitty, whom Dr Sachs found outdoors at his Virginia apartment complex in 1993. Miss Kitty went blind in early 2002, while Dr Sachs was desperately fighting to get legal help in the face of American corruption, and trying to stay alive in the face of U.S. government bans and threats.
With the government-backed criminals pursuing him, Dr Sachs was forced to go into hiding in 2003, and to make a final discreet escape over the U.S. border during 2004.
Miss Kitty was in the care of an extremely loving household after his escape, but, very sadly, she fell ill and died while Dr Sachs was taking refuge in Europe, and Dr Sachs was unable to ever see Miss Kitty alive again.
For Dr Sachs personally, this is the worst crime committed against him by the U.S. government and by the Patricia Cornwell gang of criminals.
Dr Sachs' beloved cat, the elderly and blind Miss Kitty, who died shortly after Dr Sachs was forced into exile by the U.S. government and the Patricia Cornwell criminal thugs.
It is Dr Sachs' great personal grief that she died without hearing one last word from him, without one last caress of his hand upon her fur.
The USA Justice Department, America's federal judges and the new Supreme Court Judicial Ethics panel, are all thoroughly aware of the court fraud scandal that illegally banned Dr Sachs' freedom of speech. And FBI agents criminally attacked Dr Sachs in his refuge in the Netherlands. The American government, stonewalling for now, doesn't even try to deny that major felony crimes of terror have been committed against Dr Sachs under U.S. government auspices.
For now, Dr Sachs' freedom of speech remains illegally banned by the USA government, and he remains under threats of illegal jailing and murder by a Bush-backed federal judge and his political thugs.
But Dr Sachs, man of peace, is in freedom in the Netherlands and Europe, safely outside the troubled USA Bush empire."
