Privacy Groups Slam Use Of CIA-Backed Software To Index Canadian Health Files

Posted on Sunday, August 20 at 08:37 by 4Canada
"The optics require that foreign intelligence services stay well away from the delivery of health care services in Canada." Initiate Systems of Chicago has sold the indexing software to Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Saskatchewan and Ontario for use in a national initiative to better manage health records. Canada Health Infoway, a non-profit corporation accountable to the federal, provincial and territorial governments, aims to create compatible electronic health information systems across the country. In-Q-Tel was established seven years ago as a private company to help the CIA and the broader U.S. intelligence community identify, acquire and use cutting-edge technologies. Though not part of the CIA, In-Q-Tel consults with the intelligence agency on the strategic value of potential transactions. The venture capital firm made an investment in Initiate Systems earlier this year. The intelligence connection, first reported by U.S.-based Government Health IT magazine, prompted Canada Health Infoway staff to ask participating provinces about potential problems. http://www.cbc.ca/cp/health/060817/x081718.html [Proofreader's note: this article was edited for spelling and typos on August 21, 2006]

First Lockheed Martin and the census, now this?

    "Nothing to worry about"?

Every time I hear that, I get very concerned.

Why does this whole deal feel so much like some kind of slow annexation?

They want to keep an eye on real terrorist threats I strongly suggest they keep a close watch on 1600 Pennsylvania Bvld.

From what I hear, the current tenant is responsible for the deaths of at least a few hundred thousand people.

I think the address you meant to give is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I think the reason for this new winkle is to keep tabs on how the diseaes they are exposing us to via chemtrails, food additives, genetically manipulated foods, vaccines, etc, are coming along. I know it sounds paranoid but I have to call it the way I see it.

I DID notice that, just before 9/11, overflights in my neck of the woods were happening at about 15,000 ft. The few days after 9/11, flight were back to their average 30,000.........<p>---<br>"We can have a democracy or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of the few.
