Well, if the RCMP cleared Mulroney (in April of 2003), he must be innocent. To
add more "credibility" to their investigation, Giuliano Zaccardelli was the RCMP
Commissioner at the time - the same Commish who presided over the Maher
Arar affair and a few other 'minor scandals".

The RCMP did not "clear" the former PM. They jumped the gun before collecting all the evidence. The RCMP made statements that had not been yet proven and Mulroney's lawyers were quick. "Put up or shut up" and in the middle of an investigation.
