There is indeed a huge danger that the NGO web scene become hijacked by the usual well funded special interest groups trying to pass on their message to a more sceptical audience. This practice has been observed many times south of the border and will most likely sneak up here too. In addition the practice will no longer be the monopoly of the mass media.

Thanks to Diogene for flagging this up in our own backyard, a franco one in particular. "Media watch" activities will hopefully contribute in keeping these shipshape. Now the question is: will Diogene'blog, Vive or Le Canard turn coat in 2007 doing their good deeds in order to access funding from the desparate special interest groups???
