Fresh Air From The Pacific On The Gomery Inquiry

Posted on Monday, October 03 at 10:27 by gaulois
In addition, Le Canard Réincarné wishes to signal very little participation from the so-called protected minorities so far; do they not have a good understanding of the problem of accountability and transparency in our federal infrastructures in their role of the "coal mine canary"? Let's hope that the Gomery inquiry will fully benefit from the Pacific fresh air during its Vancouver visit.

Your humble servant,
Le Canard Réincarné

"Will there be adequate representation from the Vancouver NGO new medias such as The Tyee or Adbusters"

Adbusters. Weren't they the ones made a list of Jews? If that is the "new" media...no thanks.

Why is this comment rated "very bad". Is it because you don't agree with it? Or do you deny the facts:

Kalle Lasn, Adbusters: "Why Won't Anyone Say They Are Jewish?" posits that a disproportionate number of leading U.S. neoconservatives are Jewish, a fact Mr. Lasn says is relevant because "neo-cons seem to have a special affinity for Israel that influences their political thinking and consequently American foreign policy in the Middle East."

Facts": perhaps you have an ax to grind; if there is validity in your claims, your are misusing them and losing some of its legitimacy if there is any. I have seen enough divisions amongst the various solitudes that name calling across groups just does not cut it. Perhaps you should make the effort of writing a story, argue its case and stick by it under an alias other than anonymous? And have some fresh air too. My two pennies worth.

The <a href="http://www.gomery.ca/documents/newsroom/en/2005/10/20051049598.html">Toronto</a> roundtable held earlier this week added 3 participants from each sector, a slight improvement. There however seems to be no participation once again from NGO new medias and from our public broadcasters (SRC&CBC). <p> Could the commission suffer from a blindspot? <p> The selection of participants on the next roundtables to be held in Edmonton and Vancouver should help confirm that there is in fact a rather large blind spot on the federal government accountability and the needs for real transparency. <p>---<br>"We are all in this together somehow, some more than others somehow"

"Why is this comment rated "very bad". Is it because you don't agree with it?"

Because it is offtopic. Seeing conspiracies in people ratings is just a little too like a Mel Gibson & Patrick Stewart movie.

Unless you can explain how an Adbusters list of Jews relates to the Gomery inquiry.
