Canada For The People

As a social democracy we as Canadians should hold certain shares of any natural resourse within this land. At birth and throughout life these corporations need to become Canadian owned . . .That is the common shares of any and all Canadian based but foreign owned firms need to be controlled by Canadian share holders. What better way to obtain this than to give each and every Canadian a share. A share of Esso, General Motors, Dodge, Ford, chemical corporations etc. Petro Canada would have done well by itself to give each and every Canadian shares...personal shares to hold and reap dividends rather than squander the untold billions to set this up and than sell for a fraction of the cost to foreign entities. Leaving Canadians with nothing more than the 4% tax on gasoline utilised to get this going and as far as this writter is concerned we are still paying. $ cents on each gallon at the time has not ever been recinded. If each Canadian owned share of foreign corporations we would not have the negative attitude towards these but ultimately would begin to lavish a certain pride of ownership. Each year instead of watching all the billions leave we would gather in several more shares and eventually become a bit more wealthier. Power corporations are a good example. If we as citizens reaped the profit we would not hear the whining and crying of the monthly bills. Toll highways such as Ontarios 407 is another prime example. This highway was built with the tax dollar of each citizen of Ontario and then sold for a fraction of the building cost to a foreign entity. We not only lost a huge sum of tax monies but we lost any and all revenue from said highway. Money which could and should be reaped by the citizens of Ontario in the form ofdividends. What we need to acomplish such is not hard. We need to change the entire political system from self centered corporate controlled puppets to honest men or weman willing to stand up for Canada. Methinks the better way would firstly get away from lawyers and the such. Honesty and Canada need be first in all political movements . This write firmly beleives that for Canada to prosper we need to own a share of the corporate establishment. Not royalities whic most of us never see but individual stocks and shares issued to each Canadian as part owner of Canada.
