I think it is a great idea to charge Bush;for what he would call attrousities if the shoe was on the other foot, but don't forget Bush's policy which is"I will do things my way"and I don't care about the UN or the rules of war;because he dosen't call this a normal war;its a so called war on terrorizam and rules don't count for the USA;just everybody else.
And as for our attorney general;don't hold your breath,he is told what to do by the PM's office and they don't want to step on Bushes toes or they might get a slap on the wrist,as I have said before most of these politicians are nothing more than jellyfish and have no spine to speak up like a real man;they would rather play a game of circle jerk with one another while our country goes down the tubes instead of doing the job they are getting paid for and while the rest of politicians rip off the government,as I have said bfore its no less than an act of treason;and would not be tolerated anywhere else but in Canada.

Do you really think he will stand for those charges!? Who the hell are we fooling.File all the charges you want, but,Bush will never be held accountable. The ones who need to charge him are running scared(UN).He flagrantly disregareded laws put forth by the UN regarding invasion and occupation of a country. The evidence is overwhelming that the Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of POWs was repeatedly broken.
C'mon, the dream is cool, but,it wll never happen!

I really get a kick out of all the gnashing of teeth and wailing about the Geneva Convention. In case you haven't ever looked into it the Geneva Convention applies to conflict between signatories who agreed to be bound by rules for conflict. It concerned warfare between the armies of the nations who signed. When I last checked the terrorists and insurgents of the middle east were not signatores.

That being said I don't suppose anyone has noticed that there are civilian noncombatants who are being executed by beheading, etc. When last I heard this practice was against the Geneva Convention. So was setting off car bombs at civilian targets and flying planes into civilian buildings. Of course to terrorists there are no civilians only targets. If the American military followed the same rules of engagement I can only imagine the outcry.

Fighting against terrorism while strictly following the "Geneva Convention" would probably be something like bringing a knife to a gunfight, not reccomended. I daresay that the American military and the Iraqi security forces are showing what I think is remarkable restraint in the face of the tactics that are being used against them.

The Geneva convention also applies only to the uniformed forces of the nations involved in a conflict. It doesn't apply for example to spies. It doesn't apply to resistance or guerilla forces that operate out of uniform. If and when Allied or Axis troops during WWII were captured wearing their opponents uniforms, which was done in order to infiltrate their enemies lines and wreak havoc in rear echelons, those soldiers were subject to summary execution. Ther was no trial or tribunal just the firing squad, not beheading or stabbing or burning.

I was angry and wanted the American soldiers who humiliated Muslim prisoners brought up on charges. They were wrong. But I must say that to equate what happened there to what is happening to civilians kidnapped, tourtured, and murdered in Iraq by terrorist insurgents is idiotic. That is why it is so hard to take the things posted on this website seriously.

Conservatives and "neocons" are accused of seeing the world in black and white and being unable to see the "gray" sides of world issues. Christians are all set on forcing everyone else to see things their way and live their way. By characterizing the opposition in this way the loopy left is doing the same thing that they accuse conservatives of, that is seeing all of the other side as wearing black hats while they are wearing their snow white stetsons and saving the innocent planet earth from that dastardly villian Uncle Sam. Give it a rest.

Your absolutely clueless, check your facts and the rules of war. Also check out the Geneva convention on the treatment of POW's and captured enemy combatant's caught without a uniform. Those POW's are lucky that they have not been shot as spies, as stated in the rules of war.

The UN is corrupt and is stealing billions, they don't dare make any charges. The UN should have charges brought against it's self for allowing genocide in Dakar and amongst other countries.
