David Orchard In Toronto For Appeal Court, April 27

Posted on Thursday, April 22 at 05:29 by KevinGagnon

This important Appeal (to Justice Juriansz lower court ruling of December, 2003) will be heard next Tuesday morning, April 27, in the Court of Appeal in (old) Osgoode Hall, 130 Queen St. W (corner of Queen and University Ave) at 10:30 am (sharp).

If you can attend, please be at the Appeal Court by 10 am. (Tuesday morning). Remember that this is the old Osgoode Court House at the corner of Queen and University in downtown Toronto. Once inside you can check the bulletin board, or ask for the courtroom number of this case which should be listed as: 'Ahenakew vs MacKay'.

Time allotted for the Appeal arguments is approximately one hour.

Following the Hearing, we will be meeting with David at Le Commensal restaurant which is located on the North side of Elm St. between Yonge and Bay. The restaurant is listed at 655 Bay St. in the phone directory, but the entrance opens onto Elm St. (a short street running East and West between Yonge and Bay). There is parking under the restaurant for those who need it. We have the back room booked (many of you have been there) for noon (Tuesday, April 27).

I hope that you can attend the Appeal Court to hear the legal arguments, and to support David and the 22 other plaintiffs in their ongoing fight to successfully challenge the takeover of the PC Party by the Canadian Alliance, and to join us afterward at Le Commensal restaurant.

Can you please let me know? (This will save phone calls).

Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you next Tuesday.

Let's hope (and plan) for victory!

Sincerely,

Grant Orchard,
