In Defense Of The Conspiratorial World View

Posted on Thursday, July 20 at 05:32 by Milton
A person who holds a conspiratorial world view, is generally a person who demands that the world make more sense than he's told it does. They're someone looking for the laws of cause and effect, the fit between square peg and square hole, the connectable dots, to justify a narrative which makes more sense to them than something that doesn't make sense to them. Now while one may in fact be so stupid, that ordinary events are inexplicable, the events which generate conspiracy theories do not usually fall into that category; they are attempting to explain extraordinary events. We use the concept of conspiracy every day in our legal system, and there would be many thousands more criminals walking our streets were we not to recognize and include the concept of conspiracy in trials. Yet somehow, a vastly different standard has been applied to certain historic crimes over the decades when the public demands a logical explanation for the extraordinary events in question. Current polls now show that a majority of Americans believe the government is not telling them the truth about 9/11. That fact now makes the majority of Americans "conspiracy theorists" regarding the issue. It is now a minority of the public who believes they were told the truth by the Bush appointed 9/11 Commission, but such is not the case among the so-called "mainstream media". It is nearly universally hostile to any question of a cover-up by the government. Those who need the world to make sense do not find the disparity between public opinion and the media elite's contempt for suspicion to be meaningless. They reasonably look for a vested conflict of interest on the part of the corporate media to explain why presumably intelligent professionals go soft in the head, and they do not have to look far to find one; a media which sits in an unelected advisory capacity to the President of the United States through the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), innumerable "think tanks" funded by corporate interests all assuming a global model is "inevitable", and directly attached special interests which include the world's biggest defense contractors raking billions of dollars in for share holders as they pursue the war profits of 9/11. People who point out the obvious are not wearing tin foil hats, they're simply...pointing out the obvious. Self-proclaimed debunkers pull out every trick in the book to discredit the now flourishing "9/11 Truth movement"; pointing out the most improbable theories as though they were representative (straw men), pointing out the unrelated UFO believers who may also believe them, all in an attempt to portray "idiocy by association" and to make a soup so thick with the stench of lunacy, that anyone who dares tread in it is sullied by association. But governments exist as de facto conspiracies to control their peoples, it's only a question of which people need to be controlled. The government of North Korea exists to protect itself and control it's population by keeping them in the dark through continual disinformation. The governments of China, The United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, all have one thing in common; despite varying in the availability of information, they all exist as rival nations with militaries, presumably military strategies, and a requirement to keep their own people in the dark to one degree or another if their long term global military strategy has any chance of succeeding. All one needs to understand about so-called "conspiracy theories" is that the only thing in any question when dealing with a nation of significance on the world stage, is which particular theory fits the conduct. The conspiracy is a given. But the requirement of secrecy can manifest itself overtly as in the case of China, or more artfully in the case of the United States; one nation will take you out and put a bullet in your head for questioning the regime, the other will simply create a culture of derision for those who dare to ask the wrong question in the midst of plenty. It's no coincidence then, that peoples outside any particular country can more clearly see the dark side of a nation's agenda than those within it; the Chinese government's primary motive is to lie about its own ambitions, just as the United States is. Both the Chinese and American people probably get the truth more often than not about each other respectively if the truth is damning of the other, and almost never if it's good. So called “conspiracy theories” are supposed to be very funny in some circles, who claim that there ain't no such things, and people who dare to suggest they exist, are nutcases.

Then there are those who tell the truth, because they have the knowledge and experience to admit that ever since the beginning of history, the world has been governed and controlled by conspirators. The political spectrum is not divided on the commonly sold right and left scale, but between the predators, and the victims. Predators operate under all flags and religions, and maintain their powers through conspiracies to divide, conquer, defraud and kill. Always under screwball legalities to “spread the faith”, or in our case, “to spread democracy and wealth creating market economy”.

The word “conspiracy” originates from two Latin words, “cum”, meaning “with, or together” and “spiro” for “breathing”. The correct translation is “breathing together”, which also means that every marriage, family, club, corporation, religion, ideology, and whenever people get together to make decisions are forms of conspiracies.

As wealth and control can not be created, only taken, humanity, and especially empires, have always been ruled through the conspiracy of three sectors: The Merchants, now represented by banks and multinational corporations, who develop the wealth grabbing demands; the Priesthoods, now represented by economic theorists, who invent the justifications for legalized theft; and the Military, who do the dirty work, hoping for absolution for their crimes.

A scientist friend just sent me some articles on how global warming, that threatens virtually all forms of life on Earth, connects to real religious beliefs that respect God's creation. This is opposed by the powers, who know that environmental protection cuts into their wealth creating activities, which are the transfer of real costs on other sectors and the environment. To continue this deliberate destruction, world leaders are going out of their way to cover up, and divert attention from their activities. This is why our media, news and telecasts are full of irrelevant nonsense. Like the artificial hysteria against gay marriages, the presently ongoing World Cup idiocy, the constantly repeated terror warnings and so on and on. All of them chickenfeed issues, compared to the real danger of climate changes. Our controlled newscasts are designed to avoid any but the most cursory mentioning of this incredible danger and fill our radio and TV waves with the stories of car accidents, punks beating up each other, drug raids and feel good, heartwarming stories about puppies and children. Of course, we do need those warm stories, but not at the cost of deliberate misinformation leading us up the garden path, to allow our fully owned politicians to engage in secret conspiracies to sell our hides.

While our merchants and priesthoods are preaching the false news about the wonders of globalization and hot economies, the real problems of environmental and human destruction are growing all over the world. I'll never forget the ambassador to Taiwan from one of the impoverished African countries on one of the World Bank economic forums a few years ago. The topic was the eradication of poverty, but most of the contributors, from all over the world, claimed that instead of reducing poverty levels, the policies of the Bank and globalization are increasing destitution. This ambassador wrote: “We were always very poor, but at least we did have something. Now we have nothing, except growing debts and poverty.” Nobody, not even the Bank's hired guns, dared to dispute his words.

People in most of those countries have lost what little they had, but in our case, we have the most to lose, including our Canada. And we're losing it fast, covered up by the PR hucksters, selling the temporary benefits of our false, robber economy, feeding on the sellout and destruction of our real capital and the future of our children and grandchildren, leaving them poverty and terrible mess.

While our media and political parties are filling our heads with the praise of democracy, our governments are engaged in a number of secret talks on the sale of Canada into some form of North American empire under corporate control. We already have the NAFTA, that has nothing to do with trade, now comes NAFTA plus, guaranteeing the unlimited squadering of our real wealth. Whatever raw logs are shipped out of the country, the number can not be stopped. Regardless of consequences, we have to export 65 percent of our oil and 61 percent of natural gas, to the last drop, etc. etc.

The proposed US passport regulations are a cover up to divert attention from the plans to establish a North American Union by 2010, erasing the borders under the signed Security and Prosperity Partneship, or SPP. As the big business, Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS), declared “If the border can not be made to disappear, its impact must at least be blurred.”

In 2002 , the CD Howe Institute's Wendy Dobson wrote: “In order to remove the remaining bilateral barriers, Canada should seek customs union and common market like arrangements to achieve deeper integration”. Tom d'Aquino of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE, www.ceocouncil.ca/en) wrote: “Canada has a historic opportunity-an opportunity that could be squandered if we allow outdated concerns about sovereignty to cloud our vision”. Last year the d'Aquino and former Liberal deputy PM John Manley came out with their plan for total “deep integration” into the US. Meanwhile Mr.Harper wants to build up the military to “guard our sovereignty and freedoms”.

These talks, plans and negotiations for Canada's elimination, the privatization of all our “socialistic” services, the destruction of all unions, the removal of minimum wage laws, etc. etc are going on every day, secretly pushed by both the Conservative and Liberal Parties.. But where is the NDP? Not a single word from the leadership on these issues. Just the other day I was talking to a friend who's been an NDP member forever, yet, without a computer, has never heard of the planned deep integration and the sellout of Canada, because the leadership of the party, both at the provincial and federal levels, is too scared to bring them to the surface.

Could anybody please come on the line and explain why?

Change is going on every day.

Remember the Soviet Union? It rotted from within and collapsed.

That's the ultimate destiny of any country based on capitalism and economics as well, it just may take a little longer.

Start planning now for having an alternate method to providing your family's food and power, and expect nothing from federal provincial or municipal to save you in the event of an emergency.

I don't think our society will see any changes until things get really bad. This should happen after the SPP has been established ( with the free movement of cheap labour)and we see what little wealth is left amongst the middle class erode to poverty. Then there will be a bunch of people wondering wtf happened, and maybe actually allow themselves to believe that socialism isn't all that bad after all. Then the people will have to take up arms against the ruling class before anything improves. Then things may get better....for a time.

Indeed, Dio, what will change things? This is one of my favorite quotes and is a truth that very few here understand:

"Revolution is not a choice between capitalism and socialism. It is the question between the violent overthrow of the existing order or our own extermination by that order. Is that clear enough? Do we need sugar with that?" -Stan Goff

I believe the term 'conspiracy theory' was invented by J. Edgar Hoover during the JFK assassination 'investigation'.

Considering he was very active in stamping out any serious inquiry into the death, I consider it most amusing. One of the greatest conspirators in history invents a term to discredit people who question the media and the official government line.

Indeed. This is why, trough taxation, price gouging, they try to take as much as they can, while monitoring the populace to make sure no massive popular movements arise.

Take as much, but not too much for people to have nothing to loose.

How many are beginning to see that the primary conspiracy is the manipulation of belief?
I have posted about the Hegelian Dialectic, the works of Ivy lee and particularly the influence of Edward Bernaise as well as sundry other posts of exactly how the “we” are manipulated any yet even in view of such accepted fact we still have members of the herd deep in Egypt, floating down denial.
Great comment Ed, I don't know why the NDP hasn't addressed any of these issues but I am going to start asking them tougher questions.

The term "conspiracy theory" is nothing more than a means to shut people up. While the mega-conspiracies are obvious nonsense, such as the Illuminati or the Zionists controlling the world, smaller conspiracies occur all the time. It can not help but exist once you have a system divided into order-givers and order-takers. The former will conspire to maintain their hold at the top of the human dog pile and the order takers will conspire to shake off, or at least lessen the hold of their masters. A system that is not transparent, a system where the average person has no control over any aspect of their lives, other than the quadrennial farce called elections - should it be any surprise that conspiracies exist?

When the proof is all around you, theory is transformed into fact.

Our political system is nothing more than a smoke and mirrors illusion show that exists solely to further the agendas of the ultra rich super elites.

    The media is corporate controlled
    Agriculture is corporate controlled
    Energy is corporate controlled
    Transportation is corporate controlled
    Communications is corporate controlled
    Defense is corporate controlled
Medicine is corporate controlled (work in progress)

Find out who owns the above and others, and you'll see who are truly the masters of our so called "democracy".

As for the rest of us, we are simply resources to be exploited.
